We are currently seeking a Finance Operations Manager to join our team in New Berlin, WI!

 

The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for all areas relating to accounting and financial reporting.  This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining general accounting principles and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.  The Finance Operations Manager leads 1 general accountant and 2 accounting specialists and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.  This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, yearend audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.  Strong interpersonal communication skills a must.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Management: Lead a team of 3 accounting individuals. Provide guidance, establish objectives and advise on progress to enhance the professional development of employees.
  • General accounting: Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, G/L, fixed assets, inventory and revenue recognition
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage reporting, calculation of balance sheet reserve for credit adjustments and SG&A. Collaborate with Payor Performance Analyst to understand aging reporting and analysis
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze variances to budget and/or forecast and develop appropriate departmental reporting. Collaborate with Distribution Center for supply chain metrics and senior management to make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead analysis accordingly.
  • Internal Controls: Coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures. Monitors accounts and balances to provide internal controls of account system. Reconciliation of inventory sub ledger and assist with cycle counting compliance
  • Taxes: Work closely with Coloplast Tax Team in preparation of tax documents and compliance with all state/local, federal and international tax laws and regulations. Develop and maintain audit trail and data integrity.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance

Experience:

  • 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Commercial and/or supply chain environment preferred.
  • Current knowledge of general accounting practices and financial statement preparation
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and business partnering experience

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in SAP and Excel
  • Experience with Group consolidation software, IBM COGNOS preferred
  • Strong Accounting Skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
  • High ethical standards and able to maintain secrecy of confidential or sensitive Company information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
