Position Summary:

The Business Analyst will report directly to the Director, Business Excellence and will also work closely with the corporate analytics team. The Business Analyst will ensure that key business metrics are well understood and clearly disseminated, fostering transparency and enhancing decision making. The Business Analyst will help fuel growth, leverage the wealth of data contained in Atos’s data base to help shape strategies and drive our tactical execution on company initiatives.  They also will be a local super user for technical solutions as designated.

 

Main job responsibilities: 

  • Be a valued partner with the Director, Business Excellence and provide analytics support to North American Leadership Team
  • Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources
  • Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights
  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance of business operations.
  • Drive meetings to produce outcomes.
  • Identify the complex challenges to ambiguous business problems, develop multifaceted approaches, and deliver outcomes and analytical solutions cross-functionally
  • Drive performance improvement across functions
  • Lead standalone projects ranging from operational improvements to strategic planning in close collaboration with headquarter functions
  • Develop, improve and maintain tools for performance tracking and reporting for the field and the inside commercial team (e.g. dashboards, reports, etc.)
  • Ongoing analysis and reporting with the relevant stakeholders regarding operational and commercial KPIs, including sales force targets, sales budgets, price development, volume growth, etc.
  • Partner with the management team to build and execute sales plans, budgets, incentive plans and long term planning
  • Proactively and independently assess business dynamics through quantitative analysis and provide insights and recommendations to the management team
  • Consistently monitor customer buying trends and behaviors to identify opportunities and threats, and provide recommendations based on the data

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 6-10 years of related experience in Business Analytics

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on quantitative skills related to business (eg. Economics, Finance, Statistics etc)
  • Experience with consulting or internal business development functions preferred

 

Competencies:

  • Exceptional functional utilization of Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI), SalesForce, and Smartsheet
  • Experience in driving operational improvements 
  • Ability to focus a meeting on its intended outcomes.
  • Management reporting and follow-up
  • Performance management tracking and reporting, preferably of the sales force
  • Business planning
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Solid business acumen; has a strong interest in the business dynamics and seeks to understand key business drivers outside of the analytics
  • Ability to formulate clear and concise insights and recommendations based on large amounts of data
  • Excellent communication skills:  the ability to convey complex insights across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills: the successful candidate will be able to establish and foster strong working relationships across multiple levels and functions in the organization
