About the Job
We are looking for a Scientific Manager to join our skilled and collaborative Medical & Scientific Affairs team in Hyllie, Malmö. The role involves conducting clinical evaluations and post-market clinical follow-ups in line with EU MDR for Atos Medical products (new medical devices under development, as well as marketed devices), and medical writing for other scientific purposes, within the clinical field of laryngectomy and tracheostomy.
Your key responsibilities lie within Clinical Evaluation and Post-Market Clinical Follow-up, covering:
- Writing and updating clinical evaluation and post-market clinical follow-up plans and reports in compliance with applicable regulations and standards (e.g., EU MDR, MEDDEV 2.7.1, MDCG).
- Conduct systematic literature searches and adverse event database searches and write literature review reports
- Analyzing and summarizing clinical data on safety and performance
- Conduct benefit-risk analyses and demonstrate sufficient clinical evidence to ensure and maintain CE-marking of our products
You will also:
- Support other PMCF activities, such as planning and creating surveys, including analysis and reporting of data
- Provide supporting clinical evidence for regulatory submissions, promotional claims, and marketing materials
- Medical writing of scientific publications and content for promotional purposes
The position as Scientific Manager is permanent, full-time, and placed at our head office in Hyllie, Malmö. With our hybrid workplace model, we aim to meet in the office at least three days per week.
About You
You bring experience from working in the life science sector and / or a relevant clinical background, and you are motivated by working in a role where scientific insight supports real-world impact. We follow a “hire for potential, train for skills” approach and will support your development. At the same time, there are some key requirements to succeed in the role:
Experience and education
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience, working in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of EU regulatory requirements for medical devices (MDD, MDR, MEDDEV, MDCG) is an advantage.
- Relevant clinical background (e.g. speech and language pathologist, head-and-neck nurse) is an advantage.
- Have a MSc in (bio)medical or a related field (or higher academic degree).
- Language: Proficiency in English.
Personality and work style
You like to analyze clinical data and make rational judgements from the available information and enjoy turning information into structured insights. You are quick to understand scientific and clinical articles and reports. Writing and reporting are key parts of the role, and you feel comfortable creating content that is clear, relevant, and easy for others to understand.
