Senior Strategic Purchaser

Driven by the desire to improve the quality of life and care of people with a neck stoma, Atos Medical develops and manufactures high-quality medical devices for laryngectomy and tracheostomy care. 

About the role

We are expanding our team in Hörby and are now looking for a new Senior Strategic Purchaser to join us. In this role, you will strategically manage a range of direct material/service suppliers within the Business Unit, ensuring and facilitating strategic sourcing activities and fostering strong supplier relationships. You will also be helping to drive integration activities and improve procurement processes. 

You will work closely with colleagues across multiple departments and countries, and collaboration will be essential in optimizing supplier performance and overall contribution to the company’s long-term goals. 

You’ll be part of a dedicated team of five experienced and engaged colleagues where three are located in Hörby. As part of the Coloplast Group, Global Operations and Corporate Procurement you will have experienced colleagues globally and you will be part of the global procurement community. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage a portfolio of suppliers 

• Continuously build supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs. 

• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, risk and sustainability activities 

• Support integration activities into the company’s new structures, processes, and systems. 

• Contribute to the introduction of new products in close collaboration with R&D 

• Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes  

About You: 

You bring extensive experience in strategic procurement, with a proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing suppliers, and driving process improvements. You excel at building relationships across teams, are a strong communicator, and have a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset. Your ability to work in a complex, global environment and maintain high ethical standards makes you a key contributor to the team’s success. 

Formal Competencies: 

• Experience: preferably 10+ years in strategic procurement working with direct material and services, ideally within international manufacturing companies. 

• Education: Relevant education/degree 

• Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. 

• Languages: Fluent in English (both written and verbal). 

• Preferred Experience: Experience with Injection Moulding, resins and packaging categories and suppliers, preferably from a regulated industry, and familiarity with category management.
