Position Summary:

Atos Medical, part of Coloplast is seeking a clinically experienced and dynamic Clinical Application Specialist with a strong background in ICU nursing and respiratory care to support the clinical adoption of tracheostomy and laryngectomy products. 

You will play a key role in educating and supporting clinicians, helping them integrate our airway management solutions for ICU patients and laryngectomy patients in Middle East region.

This is a customer-facing role that combines clinical expertise with product training, sales support, and post-sale follow-up to ensure optimal use and outcomes in hospital and critical care settings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical expertise, training, and education on the safe and effective use of tracheostomy and laryngectomy products.
  • Support distributors sales team during customer visits, product evaluations, and product trials, acting as a clinical liaison.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and hands-on in-servicing for ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, ENT teams, and SLPs.
  • Collaborate with hospital stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and protocol integration of tracheostomy and laryngectomy products into clinical practice.
  • Ensure training needs are identified for all customers and plans/organizes the logistics of training delivery.
  • Respond to clinical inquiries and provide troubleshooting support pre- and post-sale.
  • Deliver clinical insights to marketing and product teams to support product improvement, training content, and competitive positioning.
  • Represent the company at medical conferences, workshops, and industry events.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Assist the Regional Sales Manager in the various projects like establishing centers of excellence, creating and managing advisory boards, creating clinical evidence, influencing national / regional guidelines, conducting high impact clinical programs etc. 
  • Regularly liaise with the Global Learning Centre, Product Development, Medical Affairs and Applied Research such that a wide view of the organizations educational and technical activities can be maintained
  • Understands the principles of adult learning and the need to deliver ‘train- trainer’ solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Maintaining own professional competence and expert clinical applications knowledge without practicing on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Arabic and English fluency is a must.
  • Minimum 3 years of ICU/respiratory therapist with experience in tracheostomy and laryngectomy.
  • Previous experience in the same position is highly preferred.
  • Previous exposure to Middle East region and familiar with the Middle Eastern culture.
  • Strong presentation and teaching skills; comfortable training clinicians at the bedside or in group settings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Experience in multiple software packages Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with management and peers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60–80%, including occasional overnight stays.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in clinical support in tracheostomy and/ or laryngectomy sector.
  • Experience working with tracheostomy and laryngectomy care products.
  • Familiarity with hospital purchasing processes, product evaluation protocols, and infection control considerations.
  • BSN or advanced degree in ICU Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, or related healthcare field.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and virtual training platforms.
