Coloplast is making a significant investment in the Finnish market. This is evident not only through the recruitment of this Head of Sales, but also by the concurrent recruitment of an equally ambitious Head of Marketing, which is a newly created position. Together, these roles will enhance our existing leadership team and strengthen its strategic capabilities.

 

The job

You will inspire, motivate, develop and lead a highly professional and engaged sales team, including two team leaders. You will be responsible for driving all activities directed at customers in the field, primarily in the form of clinicians and procurement at various organisational levels.

The focus is to drive the revenue growth by ensuring that the sales team targets the right customers, generates opportunities, and remains energized. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering collaboration across our sales, consumer, marketing and market access functions. Lastly, you will spend time understanding how we can embrace Market Access opportunities and changes taking place in the society, with the primary aim to make life easier for those with intimate healthcare needs, as well as those indirectly affected or involved in our role and ambitions.

The expectations for the role are high, and for the right candidate, it could be the springboard for further opportunities in the company if consistently high performance is delivered. You will report to the Country Manager and be part of the local management team responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for the Finnish subsidiary.

 

 

 

Key responsibilities include 

  • Responsible for revenue and cost budget.
  • Generate a constant pipeline of revenue-generating opportunities and customer initiatives.
  • Ensure successful tender outcomes and access to the full product portfolio in the Finnish market.
  • Have an intimate understanding of Finnish tender dynamics and drive pricing decisions and strategies
  • Drive all phases of the tender process, including shaping new tenders, in close cooperation with the Market Access team.
  • Provide visible leadership to the sales team and the Market Access team to support building solid customer relationships.
  • Ensure effective use of sales resources through sales territory design and targeting of activities
  • Define the local incentive scheme and set regional/district targets together with the Country Manager and Business Support Manager.
  • Ensure sales force efficiency with solid processes in segmentation & targeting, new patient discharge generation, key account management, and effective use of CRM system.
  • Drive impactful customer engagements and call quality by embedding Coloplast’s partnership selling methodology in close collaboration with Field Sales Leads.
  • Implement solid KPIs to track performance and adjust strategies based on data and learnings
  • Nurture and challenge sales talent to build a succession pipeline within the sales organization
  • Develop the strategy and annual business plans in close collaboration with cross-functional team and play an active role in all key strategy projects.
  • Cascade overall strategy into district and account plans together with Sales Team Leads and Territory Managers.
  • Align the execution of commercial strategy, business plans, and product/campaign launches closely with marketing and consumer care teams.

 

Qualifications and abilities are

  • BA or BS degree, ideally an MBA or other relevant area.
  • Successful sales leadership for a period of a minimum of 5 years.
  • Significant change management experience and a clear perspective on sales training.
  • Consistently successful sales track record, i.e. growth above market growth.
  • Deep understanding of medical device or medical technology sales within Finland.
  • Proven experience in developing new channels and strategies within sales.
  • Experience in tender based sales.
  • Proficient computer skills MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) and belief in using CRM (Salesforce.com ideally).
  • Fluent in Finnish and strong English skills.
