About the department
Our MDM & Quality Solutions Department is a small but ambitious, multinational team. We are managing several applications aimed at supporting the business users in their daily tasks and processes in an efficient and modern way. We are part of the Business Support Solutions area within the Digital, Data & IT organization.
The MDM & Quality Solutions team consist of other application specialists who specialize in their individual application area. While the daily assignments require mainly being able to work independently, we also enjoy close collaboration and tapping into the synergies that arise when sharing our knowledge. As we introduce a new platform into our department, we are looking for a new colleague.
About the job
In Coloplast, we are embarking on a new journey implementing a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to provide a structured and automated environment to manage laboratory data. We are looking for an IT individual who will be part of the initial implementation project and subsequently will assume the role as IT Application specialist for the new platform as part of the global support set up.

Shared and structured system for laboratory data
Acting as the link between IT and the business, you are responsible for ensuring successful implementation of the chosen LIMS platform and related requirements, as well as ensuring the delivery of relevant technical documentation. Upon transition into operations, you will become the technical solution owner (TSO) and main contact for the Global Process Owner (GPO) of the LIMS solution to ensure smooth operations and the continuous improvement of the system.
Your Responsibilities
Your overall responsibility will fall in the following categories:
Implement the new LIMS:
• Participate in project scoping and vendor selection
• contribute to system and process design decisions
• Interact with stakeholders and business users
• Support the roll out with configuration, testing, and training of key users
Assume the role as LIMS IT Application specialist if you can:
• ensure knowledge transfer from LIMS implementation partner to Coloplast IT Application specialist
• perform 2nd & 3rd level support tasks
• Perform and facilitate changes in system configuration – in close collaboration with GPO and/or the vendor
Being an excellent communicator who has experience with system implementation:
You are an excellent communicator, who has a proven record of acting in the interface between business and IT, and you communicate with ease on multiple levels of an organization. You understand user needs and know how to translate IT lingo to make it understandable for our stakeholders in the business.
Furthermore, you:
• Have experience with data management systems, preferably LIMS
• Good understanding of the different parts of software development, testing and how they relate
• Have a good understanding of design and user experience principles
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Are fluent in both spoken and written English
On a personal note, you are known to be a team player, who is willing to share knowledge and be transparent regarding the progress of your tasks. You possess a natural curiosity to understand other people and have a humble approach in your way of working. We are looking for a person who is structured and has a strong analytical mindset. You can work independently and are comfortable with working in a distributed team.
