We now have a fantastic opportunity to join the Distribution team, reporting directly to the Distribution Area Manager and supporting a team of Warehouse Assistants. 


The job

If you’d like to be part of a high performing team that enjoys Making a Difference to the lives of our customers and our colleagues, and meeting targets in a fast paced Distribution team, then we’d love to hear from you.  If you have previous experience in a key role within a Logistics / Warehouse environment, this could be the role for you. 


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading your team to deliver optimum productivity and efficiency by providing highly visible presence in all DC areas. (floor walking)
  • Provide cover for critical business tasks as required. (e.g. Order start, trouble shooting)
  • Data input tasks for daily reporting. (e.g. KPI data, section resource productivity etc.)
  • Assist in resource planning for area to ensure adequate cover for all DC tasks. (weekly/monthly rota)
  • To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure standard processes are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards throughout DC (6S).
  • Assist in management of personnel with area managers’ supervision.
  • Deputise for Distribution Area Manager/s in their absence. (Holidays, sickness etc.)
  • Ensure error investigation/claims reporting process is maintained as required.
  • Assist in lean/improvement activities as requested.
  • Key holding responsibilities as required.
  • Ensure compliance of company ISO expectations


Experience Required:

  • Must be able to demonstrate a minimum 2 years’ experience in a key role within a fast paced logistics environment. (Essential)
  • Working knowledge and experience of distribution processes and procedures. (Essential)
  • In-depth E1 knowledge (super user). (Essential)
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. (Preferred)
