Business Analyst 

We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our Logistics team, in a role where you can Make a Difference to the lives of our customers. If you have experience in the Business Intelligence arena, this could be the role for you. 

 

Reporting into the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the management and development of data used across our Warehouse team and you will possess an extensive working knowledge of data modelling and report creation to meet the needs of all operational areas within a dynamic Warehouse Distribution Centre.  

 

Essential Duties

  • Understand and utilise Power BI to develop KPI reporting
  • Be instrumental in developing and maintaining baseline KPI’s
  • Provide accurate and timely performance data as the Subject Matter Expert within the Business Intelligence arena
  • Utilise analytical tools and techniques to track trends, create credibility in the numbers and driving data-based decision making
  • Ensure data is transparent, validated and reliable, whilst ensuring consistency and alignment between Local and Global reporting
  • Effect both transformational and cultural change in the DC, moving from manual to automated reporting at every opportunity

 

Personal Characteristics

  • Demonstrate a strong proficiency and accuracy in data analysis and insight
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a very high attention to detail
  • Able to interpret the business need and can translate this into meaningful requirements

 

Experience

  • Essential: Degree educated or equivalent experience
  • Essential: Excellent Microsoft Office capabilities, with a particular emphasis on superior Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Essential: Capable of utilising SQL to extract data from a variety of data sources
  • Desirable: experience in a large-scale Logistics / Distribution environment, understanding of industry ‘Best Practice’ and able to apply knowledge and experience in a pragmatic way
  • Desirable: Previous experience of using various tools across the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Query, Power Automate etc)
  • Desirable: Previous experience or understanding of working with relational database models (MS SQL Server etc
