You will support and assist the production of wound and skin care products by providing direction to production employees and assisting the Production Supervisor.   Job Function Summary

  • Support and assist the Production Supervisor by providing daily direction to production employees

  • The production lead will be responsible for leading the operations team in providing training and ongoing development of all new hires and current associates in the production environment.

 

  Major Areas of Accountability

  • Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of minor problems and issues

  • Responsible for new hire and current associate training on all production equipment including but not limited to, packaging, compounding, sanitizing, and daily production operations.

  • Facilitate and support operator growth outlined in the job tier operator development plan

  • Gather and analyze data from the SPC (Statistical Process Control) system and make recommendations on improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality of product

  • Facilitate and organize new and employee development plans, data, and acknowledgements.

  • Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered and evaluated for consistency, and effectiveness.

  • Observe employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.

  • Determine that trainees are aware of packaging and operating accuracy procedures and quality and EHS conformity at each stage of the training.

  • Exhibit and practice positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment.

  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor.

  • Maintain a training log with trainees and hold weekly one-on-one meetings with new employees.

  • Answer any questions the associates may have about their packaging and manufacturing functions

  • Can troubleshoot and provide resolution to production technical issues that may arise or notify the appropriate personnel, as needed.

  • Answer any communication professionally and in a timely manner with internal and external stakeholders to provide optimal service

  • Create and assign learning profiles for operations team

  • Provide technical support as needed to maintain and follow production schedule

  • Other duties as assigned

 

  Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Ability to meet physical requirements per production need

    • Ability to lift to 25 lbs independently and up to 75 lbs with assistance

  • 6+ months experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment     

 

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree

  • Bilingual in the ability to read, write, and speak English and Somali

  • Experience working with inventory management systems

  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment

  • Lean manufacturing experience
