You will set up and maintain production equipment to produce wound and skin care products while maintaining compliance to GMPs and ISO standards. Position pays for proven machine technician experience.

Job Function Summary:

Setup and perform basic machine preventative maintenances, while maintaining machines to facilitate efficient manufacturing and packaging operations.
This position controls variable costs by cleaning and sanitizing packaging equipment per company specifications.

- Major Areas of Accountability
- Sanitize, clean and perform basic machine set up
- Familiar with the basic concept of the equipment
- Have the ability to perform basic adjustments to production equipment setup with minimal support
- Understand, follow, and accurately complete process documentation.
- Complete different quality inspections necessary for production and assure that all documentation is correctly filled out
- Report all mechanical failures or anticipated problems to the Manufacturing Engineer.
- Make recommendations to Maintenance and Engineering concerning equipment needs and ideas for improvement.
- Assist in the maintenance of Packaging Area machines, tooling, equipment and related items.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in all working and storage areas.
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations, plans and interdepartmental relationships
- Follow all FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines, including the filling out of all necessary documents to ensure compliance
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers and staff
- Follow the Quality and EHS (QEHS) Policy for the site.
- Support continuous improvement of the QEHS Management System and share any improvement ideas with appropriate staff including: drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines, drawing attention to inefficiency of the system.
- Must have the ability to conduct entry level training tasks and provide feedback and/or suggestions for process continuous improvement
- Participate in departmental tasks and process procedure to ensure the department is meeting the objectives of the organization
- Must provide departmental assistance to the team leader
- Other duties as assigned
- Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, in order to read, analyze, interpret and implement department procedures.
- Basic computer skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with set up and change over of various types of packaging or production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- General operational knowledge of machine controls.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds periodically
- Must be able to stand, kneel or squat for extended periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders, and work at elevated heights
- Must be able to push / pull over 50 pounds
- Must be able to reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to operate power / hand tools
