Are you looking for a new opportunity? Coloplast welcomes you to join the Operations team on 2nd shift (Hours 3:20pm-11:50pm) as a Compounding Lead in North Mankato, MN. This position will oversee the sanitizing of equipment and the compounding of product per instruction while maintaining cGMPs and ISO compliance standards.

Job Function Summary:

Manufacture all the Coloplast Skin/Wound Care products.  Operate Skin/Wound Care mixing equipment and complete necessary paper work and inspections per cGMP requirements to fulfil customer expectations.

 

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Ensure that all manufacturing equipment are cleaned and sanitized as needed.  Compounding Team Lead to complete cleaning and sanitization as needed to complete scheduled jobs.
  • Accurately weigh and compound product per work instructions.                        
  • Capable of setting up, operating and adjusting for all the equipment in the Compounding Area.    
  • Understand, follow, and accurately complete process documentation.                     
  • Compliance to cGMPs and ISO standards.
  • Use of E1 to accurately issue raw materials and receive the compounded product.
  • Complete different quality inspections necessary for production and assure that all documentation is correctly filled out.
  • Gather, stage and organize raw materials needed for the daily production runs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment as required
  • Package in all cells of Coloplast as needed.                                                        
  • Apply continuous improvement approach to compounding function.   
  • Perform related duties as requested.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED or 2 years relevant manufacturing experience

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Having job skills to learn company policies and procedures to complete tasks.
  • Able to prepare and set up workstations.
  • Able to lift minimum 50 pounds.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and team skills.
  • Perform various cleaning and organizing duties as assigned.
  • Maintain records and complete paperwork per GMP requirement
  • Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and follow safely standards.
  • Access workplace information such as the cleaning schedule to identify cleaning requirements.
  • Use personal protective clothing and or equipment.
  • Responsible for other duties as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations, plans and interdepartmental relationships

Must understand these policies and procedures, communicate them to team members and ensure they are followed.

  • Ensure the arrival of compounding team members
  • Follow up on any issues from previous shift or day
  • Audit performance of start-up process
  • Respond to any problems with start up
  • Verify condition of line from previous shift or day
  • Verify daily production requirements
  • Fill in for any absent team members (online and offline) when necessary up to and including varying shifts based on production
  • Assure smooth start
  • Assure all team members are punctual and in place
  • Assure compliance with standardized work
  • Schedule Batch changeovers
  • Cross train team members
  • Stagger breaks if production issues
  • Set break usage example and ensure other department employees are be back on time from breaks
  • Stagger lunches based on production demands
  • Ensure that compounding production is completed
  • Gather compounding production paperwork from team members
  • Prepare end of shift production or logs
  • Team Lead conducts meeting in absence of Production Manager
  • Convey information for teams
  • Review and audit setup logs to assure that Coloplast procedures are being followed.
  • Complete E1 transactions as needed.
  • Ensure that lines are properly set-up for the next run or shift
  • Promote a continuous improvement environment through initiatives and preventive actions.
