The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects This role translate strategy into a detailed project scope, MS Project schedule, budget, and resource forecast.  In this position the Project Manager will lead cross-functional project teams, including members across the Coloplast organization and external partners, while ensuring the project is completed on-time, within budget, and in accordance with the project contract.

 

This role will support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for improvement and that support predictable execution, cost-savings, and efficiencies.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Lead projects across the Interventional Urology business including but are not limited to:
    • New product development projects
    • Sustaining projects
    • Transformation and process improvement projects
    • Other
  • In collaboration with the project team:
    • Build and optimize schedules in MS Project
    • Develop project budgets, review SOWs, POs, and invoices, and track actuals against forecasts/approved budgets
    • Develop resource forecasts for project work
    • Maintain project risk register to identify, mitigate, and communicate project risks, and escalate issues to stakeholders and leadership
  • Monitor project performance against project tolerances for schedule, budget, scope, and resources
  • Prepare and present project status for Interventional Urology or other management boards as appropriate.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and solution-oriented negotiation and alignment discussions; propose solutions to the relevant decision makers
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate messages across all levels of the organization
  • Influence and develop trusting relationships with business leaders and cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Knowledge, Skills, and Preferences

  • Project Scheduling Expertise
  • New Product Development design transfer and launch readiness experience
  • Experience employing standard project management tools and practices
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to manage cross-functional and remote teams
  • Ability to facilitate problem-solving and alignment
  • Formal PM education/training preferred
  • PM certification (PMP or other) preferred
  • Knowledge of product development within the medical device industry including quality requirements and regulatory requirements preferred
  • Previous project management experience in the medical device product development industry preferred
  • Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma / Process Improvement experience preferred: continuous improvement mindset
  • Change management preferred
