Coloplast is a Danish multinational company that develops, manufactures and markets medical devices related to ostomy, continence, interventional urology, voice and respiratory care, and wound and skin care. The successful candidate will join a small team of approximately 10 high caliber marketing professionals that enjoy working and collaborating together from our Minneapolis office on West River Road in a hybrid work setting. We focus on customer-centric initiatives and high impact projects that are aligned to our business priorities.

 

Job fuction summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 3+ years marketing communications experience that is ready to move into a role with people management responsibilities. This position will take the lead in our Marketing Communications programs across North Amercia (US and Canada). As Marketing Communications Manager you will be a key link between our Marketing Managers and our customers, bringing our messages in front of key stakeholders and decision makers and turning them into tangible leads and opportunties. The main job functions for this role include:

 

  • Work closely with our Marketing Managers to help develop our annual Marketing plan by recommending meaningful communications programs to support our commercial priorities
  • Responsibility for our Corporate Visual Identity (CVI), branding, and trademarks, and ensure consistent product positioning and messaging through partaking in our asset review process alongside Legal and Regulary functions
  • Primary contact to manage internal and external creative and media partners, manage project timelines and performance measurements, and recruit new agencies where needed to ensure we can deliver on our plans
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of key products, messaging and branding, and our audiences, to enforce consistency, and to guide development of asset creation through self or third parties
  • Primary owner for our sales enablement platform (Showpad), ensuring sales tools are organized and named consistently, content is reviewed and rationalized, navigation is intuitive and purposeful, reporting on usage
  • Responsibility for managing our web presence including our corporate website, microsites, and educational website, make recommendations for improvements, and report on analytics
  • Create and deliver brand/stakeholder specific advertising plans from start to finish, identifying relevant platforms, securing placement, developing assets (with third parties), and meeting placement deadlines
  • Create and deliver brand/stakeholder specific marketing automation campaigns (Eloqua) from start to finish, recommending campaigns, developing content (with third parties), managing databases, and managing flow
  • Take ownership of daily marketing communications activities, such as literature fulfilment, digital asset management, digital asset minor edits, newsletters, managing photo library and image requests
  • Manage and coach a marketing communications specialist and provide support for relevant activities
  • Collaborate with ComEx team to optimize lead management and report on KPIs

In addition to frequent interactions with our Marketing and ComEx teams, this position will work closely with our business leaders, third party agencies, and relevant stakeholders in our global digital teams (based in Denmark and Poland).

 

Essential qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or other relevant field of study
  • 3+ Years successful experience in Marketing Communications
  • Examples of leading cross-functional teams and coaching others
  • Experience with managing external vendors including creative and digital agencies
  • Experience with Salesforce, marketing automation programs, SEO, and social media strategies
  • Must demonstrate excellent writing skills to monitor and develop professional messaging
  • Core skills to include strong communication, organizational, project management, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and prioritize multiple cross-functional projects
  • Willingness to join a team who values listening, mutual respect, and collaboration
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and willing to travel (10-20%)
