Global Upstream Product Manager

The global Upstream Product Manager role will be responsible for managing the product life cycle of our endourology business. You will drive the product portfolio pipeline through organic projects and set key milestones. This position will work cross-functionally to ensure success of portfolio strategy.

Job Duties

  • Lead product development initiatives, voice-of-customer, customer requirement specifications, and direct engagement with customers.
  • Partner with R&D and downstream marketing teams to translate customer requirements into meaningful product features and negotiate trade-offs necessary to meet technical requirements.
  • Lead functional phase gate review deliverables.
  • Lead key product portfolio projects as needed.
  • Develop launch pack deliverables for new product launches for downstream/ region marketing team.
  • Conduct competitive product analysis and market research to follow market trends, customer desires and competitor positioning
  • Develop, maintain and grow relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders.
  • Identify cost reduction initiatives and SKU management for product(s) and product stewardship.
  • Collaborate with Downstream/ region marketing to provide input to regional annual marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with Global Integrated Marketing Communications team to provide inputs for regional deployment, assuring alignment on key messages across markets.
  • Serve as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues/
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Experience with project management and launching a new product to the market would be a plus
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting and planning would be a plus.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to perform under pressure and in a dynamic environment
  • A high degree of initiative, motivation and accountability for results
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to meet with customers, attend scientific conferences and evaluate new technologies with limited advanced notice
  • Strong computer skills in spreadsheet, presentation and work processing software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to be solution oriented and problem solve to find optimal solution
