Product Manager, Upstream Marketing

Product Manager, Upstream Marketing is responsible of the Endourology portfolio by managing product life cycle and identity innovation opportunities.

  • Endourology area includes consumables for lower and upper tract, single use scopes and laser equipment
  • Innovation and pipeline: identify new opportunities, customer and market needs insights, product design and prototype validation, product launch
  • Portfolio management: life cycle management of assigned products of existing portfolio
  • Develop and manage global KOL boards for product development projects

Missions :

  • Lead product development initiatives, voice-of-customer, customer requirement specifications
  • Collaborates with R&D and downstream marketing teams to translate customer requirements into meaningful product features and negotiate trade-offs necessary to meet technical requirements.
  • Lead functional phase gate review deliverables.
  • Develop claims and support evidence generation for downstream marketing teams
  • Conduct competitive product analysis and market research to follow market trends, customer desires and competitor positioning
  • Develop, maintain and grow relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders.
  • Identify cost reduction initiatives and SKU management for product(s) and product stewardship.
  • Collaborate with Downstream/ region marketing to provide input to regional annual marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with Global Integrated Marketing Communications team to provide inputs for regional deployment, assuring alignment on key messages across markets.
  • Serve as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues
  • Keep up to date with latest market trends and competitor products
  • Maintain Claiming Documents throughout the lifecycle of the portfolio

Profil :

  • Master’s degree or equivalent with medical or business background
  • 5+ years experience in a similar function
  • Very fluent in English
  • French would be a plus
  • Experience with project management and launching a new product to the market would be a plus
  • Experience with financial modelling, forecasting and planning would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of the endourology market would be a plus
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to perform under pressure and in a dynamic environment
  • A high degree of initiative, motivation and accountability for results
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to meet with customers, attend scientific conferences and evaluate new technologies with limited advanced notice
  • Ability to be solution oriented and problem solve to find optimal solution
