As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the efforts to bring innovation to the market and you will get complete project ownership while guiding your project teams to success.


Join our R&D department
At our HQ in Humlebæk, you will join the R&D Project Management area working with stakeholders across all functions in the Coloplast organisation. You will be part of a team of 35 dedicated and highly skilled project managers who as part of R&D, drive and participate in new product development projects within ostomy, continence, wound and skin care as well as bowel management.


With an ambitious innovation agenda and increasing number of R&D projects, we need more project managers to set the direction for both product development and development of the manufacturing systems – from early product concepting, detailed product design, design for manufacturing, production capacity planning, building and finally launch. 


Set clear priorities with a high impact

You will be managing 1-2 projects at a time and lead a project team consisting of specialists and PM’s within mechanical design, process engineering, materials technology, documentation control, machine commissioning, injection moulding, quality assurance etc. Typically, projects can have anything from 10 to 40+ participants.


This means that you will:

  • Set the strategic direction and focus in the project
  • Ensure that the agreed KPIs are met, and you will apply best project management practices to lead and steer the team members safely through all stages of the project
  • Ensure the deliveries follow the Coloplast Development stage gate model
  • Carry out stakeholder management and ensure effective communication with all the cross-functional business partners to ensure clarity and satisfactiEnsure sound product concept and manufacturing decisions by evaluating concepts and DFM together with the cross functional team of technical competences 
  • Balance the projects business case and ensure project investment budgets are diligently maintained and the product cost price meets business objectives
  • Contribute to the PM Department’s continuous improvement initiatives


Experienced project manager with a technical background
As you will collaborate with stakeholders from senior management, R&D and production, it is crucial that you know how to communicate and structure information to get your message across. You need a solid technical understanding to direct and focus the development efforts and a good understanding for the business context to set the right strategy. In addition to your skills within project management, you will also need strong leadership capabilities to structure the work and motivate your team to perform their best.


Moreover, you:

  • You have 5+ years experience with technical project management within an R&D organisation
  • You have an education within engineering or equivalent with e.g.  product development, manufacturing technology, mechanical or production engineering.
  • You preferably have experience from a R&D or production environment within the medical device industry
  • You have excellent networking skills and a proactive approach to collecting knowledge and ensuring personal development
  • You communicate effortlessly in written and spoken English
