Lead Employment Relations Specialist
Humlebæk, DK

Lead Employment Relations Specialist
At Coloplast, strong employment relations are fundamental to how we operate. We are now looking for a Lead Employment Relations Specialist to take a central role in shaping and supporting employment practices in Denmark - while contributing to direction and standards at HQ level.
This is a role with significant scope and visibility across the organisation, offering the opportunity to influence both day-to-day employment decisions and the broader standards that guide how we work.
The role
As Lead Employment Relations Specialist, you will be the primary expert and authoritative advisor on Danish employment law and employment relations. You will set clear standards and help ensure consistent application across the organisation - regardless of organisational level.
You will support leaders, employees, and People & Culture colleagues in navigating complex matters with clarity, consistency, and professionalism. The role spans broadly - from hands-on operational and administrative responsibilities to more strategic discussions where you define guidelines, principles, and policies within your area of responsibility.
As part of HQ, you will contribute to setting direction and standards that ensure alignment across local contexts, while ensuring Danish practices remain fully compliant and aligned with our global framework. Importantly, this is a role for someone who is comfortable combining professional authority with practical execution.
Your responsibilities
In practice, you will:
• Advise leaders and P&C on employment legal matters such as warnings, dismissals, termination agreements, and general employment law
• Act as trusted and consistent advisor in matters related to maternity and parental leave, sick leave, flex jobs, and job clarification
• Draft warnings, terminations, and severance agreements in close collaboration with HR Business Partners
• Ensure employment contracts, addendums, templates, and policies are updated and compliant with Danish legislation
• Define, document, and maintain clear processes, guidelines, and standards to ensure alignment and consistency across the organisation
• Proactively share best practices and relevant employment law knowledge with leaders and HR to strengthen organisational capability
• Contribute to leader guidance and support within day-to-day employment law topics
• Collaborate closely with HR Operations on contracts, documentation, and system registrations
• Handle work and residence permit applications for locally employed foreign employees
• Support negotiations related to union agreements and local agreements
• Ensure statutory reporting and employment-related statistics are delivered accurately and on time
A role with a broad interface
You will have a wide and varied contact surface across the organisation - working closely with employees, leaders at different levels, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, and global People & Culture colleagues.
The role requires the ability to move confidently between detailed case handling, advisory conversations, and more principle-based discussions about how we define and apply standards.
What you bring
We are looking for a strong employment relations specialist who combines professional depth with sound judgement and business understanding. You likely have:
• A relevant academic background and solid knowledge of Danish employment legislation
• Experience advising on employment relations in a larger and preferably international organisation
• The ability to balance operational execution with strategic perspective
• Strong business understanding and the ability to balance legal considerations with organisational realities
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and pragmatically
• Comfort with both hands-on administrative tasks and more strategic responsibilities
• Fluency in Danish and English, written and spoken
Reporting line
You will report to Anders Toft, Director People & Culture Denmark, and be part of People & Culture Denmark while contributing to broader HQ alignment and standards.
