Laboratory Technician - Help us Shaping the Future of Product & Material Testing

Do you enjoy testing the performance of materials and products? Are you ready to use your critical mindset to support the development of novel models to test adhesives in physiologically relevant conditions?

At Coloplast, we are world-leaders in ostomy and continence care appliances. Our intimate healthcare products have a great influence on the quality of life for our users. By testing the performance of our products in settings that are representative of the conditions during usage, we ensure that we can provide our customers with solutions of outstanding quality.

By joining us in our mission of making life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs you will have a significant impact on the development of new products and new testing models across our business areas.

An Ambition for Making a Difference

At Coloplast, we work towards innovating and optimising products and processes to remain front runners within the MedTech industry. The same applies for our laboratories.

You will join us in the department of Test & Analysis, located at our HQ in Humlebæk, Denmark. Test & Analysis consists of about 50 colleagues divided into four teams. There, you will join the Pre-Clinical Lab, a highly engaged and convivial team of 11 laboratory technicians responsible for testing whole products and their materials in physiologically relevant models to support innovation in our technologies.

We are looking for a dedicated Laboratory Technician to perform Pre-Clinical tests across our wound care and continence care business. As Laboratory Technician in Pre-Clinical Lab, you will perform tests using already existing methods, but you will also have the opportunity of supporting the development of new innovative models. Besides working together with colleagues in Pre-Clinical Lab, you will also collaborate with specialists within R&D and have the opportunity of growing as a laboratory technician learning new instrumentation and techniques.

A Technical Flair with a Structured Attitude

As a Laboratory Technician in Pre-Clinical Lab you will plan and execute tests within both the mechanical and the biological area, occasionally combining both. You will evaluate the performances of our products and of individual materials exposing them to conditions that mimic their use in real life.

Ideally, you:

  • Hold a Laboratory Technician degree, or similar
  • Are accustomed to working in a collaborative environment
  • Work confidently with the Office package
  • Are advanced in written and spoken English
  • Possess knowledge of biological and/or mechanical testing
  • Have previous experience with the handling of ex-vivo tissues

As a person, you are collaborative and curious. You find joy engaging in conversation about details, and your structured approach supports you in performing laboratory experiments. You have a critical mindset which you can use to challenge tests and testing conditions. Like the rest of us, you aim for precision and accuracy, and find happiness and motivation when sharing your knowledge with your colleagues to support the growth of the team while delivering on Coloplast mission.

If you would like to know more about the position, please contact Fabio Tentor, Team Manager of Pre-Clinical Lab at +45 4911 1713.
