Join Coloplast as Head of Commissioning DK, Global Engineering 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Commissioning Denmark to lead a skilled team of 14 professionals, primarily Project Managers. You will become a member of the Global Engineering Management team and report to the VP of Global Engineering, Carsten Lindkvist.    

 

Commissioning DK-team 

The team plays a crucial role in our new product development projects, contributing significantly to Coloplast’s growth by delivering cutting-edge production machinery for both new and established products. 

The main responsibility of the team is to lead production machine projects for new product launches in a dynamic environment. This includes working closely with Pilot Plant and/or suppliers on process development, defining machine specifications, and overseeing the entire life cycle from early concepting, supplier selection, design freeze to testing and qualification of the machines. 

 

Lead, empower and develop 

As the Head of the team, you will lead, inspire and develop the employees as well as the team in the desired direction. In doing so, you will focus on supporting and empowering the project managers in applying the best project management practices while also keeping track of the team’s projects, facilitating and driving the team towards the organizational needs and demands. 

Furthermore, you will support the Project Managers in handling diverse stakeholder requirements, enabling them to deliver the most value in their projects as well as to maintain the good collaboration with stakeholders, e.g., International Manufacturing sites, Supply Chain, Procurement, Pilot Plant and Ramp Up. 

 

Your key responsibility: 

  • Provide leadership and people management and set direction and follow-up on yearly objectives for your department and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Ensure allocation of resources in accordance with the priorities. 
  • Ensure that the projects in the team are scoped, aligned and delivered on time, within budget and with high quality. 
  • Seamless collaboration with the three Portfolio Managers and the Head of Commissioning in Hungary -guiding and supporting the Project Managers to succeed. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives within the Commissioning process and the processes that interact with other functions. 
  • The Project status system is correctly updated by the Project Managers    

 

Even though your team is based in Denmark, your role also entails remote leadership, as the Project Managers are often out visiting suppliers or our production sites abroad. As Head of Commissioning you can look forward to a dynamic and flexible everyday life with up to 20 days of travel per year to suppliers and to our international sites. 

 

What do you bring: 

  • 7+ years of experience leading large teams of project managers and engaging with stakeholders, in an international environment. 
  • Experience in the medical device industry, with expertise in product development, manufacturing, and technology development. 
  • Hands-on experience managing automation and technical projects. 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience in cross-functional and international environments. 
  • A flexible mindset, thriving on motivating and developing people while fostering a collaborative team culture. 
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
