Project Manager Logistics Systems, Global Distribution (m/f/d)

We are searching for an experienced Project Manager Logistics Systems, to support developing, implementing, and improving our logistics IT systems. This position is part of the global Transport team, based in our Distribution Centre in Hamburg-Allermöhe, reporting directly to the Head of Transport.


You have a strong affinity for IT systems and have experience in global projects in the context of logistics? Then this position might be for you:

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and roll-out of a global Transport Management System (TMS) and connected Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications
  • Develop an improvement plan for implementation with action items, timelines, responsibilities etc.
  • Leadership throughout all project stages (functional specifications, IT design, programming, testing and implementation)
  • Internal and external point of contact for process and technical matters
  • Manage development and execution of business transition management activities
  • Create, review and prioritize setting of system requirements
  • Work closely with respective business units to implement action plan
  • Measure and review success factors and KPIs within projects and follow up
  • Maintain configuration on production and test systems
  • Implementation of new processes and functions with trainings or FAQ’s and manuals
  • Support the owner of applications during initial setup

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree or equivalent experience in related field (Business Management, Supply Chain, Information Systems)
  • Minimum 3 years project management of complex systems implementations with logistics, supply chain or distribution highly preferred
  • Interest in working with Transportation and Warehousing Applications
  • Strong IT-affinity
  • Profound analytical skills and MS Excel competence
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent communication skills in English across all levels of the organization (German and other languages are beneficial)
