Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Coloplast Cartago,

 

Are you motivated by quality control of medical device products with the purpose of improving the lives of people with intimate health care needs?

 

We are looking for a dedicated Strategic Sourcing Specialist to execute procurement responsibilities mainly within indirect categories and to some extend direct categories , lead interactions with external suppliers and become a valued business partner to internal stakeholders who are responsible for managing our factory in Costa Rica.  

 

The individual will support that business requirements are well defined, design alternative solutions for a diverse range of requirements, and ensure that suppliers are approved appropriately and in compliance with established Coloplast procedures. 

 

A proactive, problem solving approach is expected, in close alignment with the site’s key leaders including site VP.  This is important during the development of the site as well as establishing the supplier landscape both for direct and for indirect

 

You will report to Head of Procurement, Coloplast Costa Rica Volume Manufacturing site, Cartago.


Key areas of responsibility

 

  • Develop, support, and implement procurement strategies and guidelines in a disciplined well thought out process

  • Conduct the necessary spend analysis and market surveys, and work towards lowering the TCO of the assigned area of responsibility through process improvements, strategic sourcing, and elimination of waste

  • Facilitate development of Scope of Work and contractual language that memorializes understandings and agreements with external partners

  • Run tenders

  • Negotiate with new and existing suppliers

  • Manage and lead the supplier selection process and align supplier selection with the category strategy

  • Develop, review, negotiate and execute complex commercial agreements

  • Own, manage, and lead business relationships with key suppliers; govern and support communications, root cause analisys and corrective actions and ultimate resolution of supply chain constraints

  • Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, Global Category Managers and Corporate Procurement colleagues at other sites

  • Drive and role model Coloplast values and ethical and quality standards; ensure safety and compliance to regulations and company values, policies, and procedures

  • Other Duties as assigned

 

 

Your qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a supply chain or technical discipline

  • Business / Commercial fluency in English

  • 3+ years of broad procurement experiences – Indirect and/or Direct

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and a desire to make a difference

  • Committed to working in a quality environment and the importance of safety and environmental compliance with all regulations, and with company policies, procedures, practices, and standards

  • Strengths in team facilitation, requirements definition, stakeholder management, and communicating, executing and driving  procurement cycle to completion

  • Results oriented entrepreneurial self-starter with an ability to prioritize and able to deliver under challenging circumstances

  • Experience working with different functional disciplines and at various levels of the organization

  • Seeks to understand and desires to create novel solutions to existing business challenges.

 

 

 

As a person, you are determined and a collaborative team player with a positive can-do attitude. You have attention to details, as well as demonstrate problem-solving -, analytical -, and critical thinking skills. It is a benefit, if you have proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams in different geographies, and experience in a start-up process.
