Production Support Engineer Trainee

This is a permanent-full time position, to work in our Cartago Site, located in Zona Franca La Lima. Relocation is not available for this job.

Our Production Support Engineer Trainees direct technical support functions to maintain and continuously improve equipment, process, and facilities.
Major areas of accountability:
- Guided supervision of equipment and machinery in the production area.
- Planning of the maintenance of the production machines, supported by the Engineer in charge.
- Ensure the execution of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Explore and resolve technical issues together with suppliers, technical staff, and operators.
- Analysis and improvement of technical processes, machines and production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with the required levels of Safety, Quality, Production and Cost.
- Installation, assembly and commissioning of equipment and production lines.
- Support technicians and engineers in fault discovery, fast and professional problem resolution.
- Manage and create work orders in Toolshop.
- Manage the minimum stock of spare parts for production machines, ensuring the productive availability of the machines.
- Creation of purchase requisition according to need. Monitoring and execution of EHS actions belonging to the Value Stream. Changes and creation of instructions related to the machines, guided by the Engineer in charge.
- Complete NC and CAPA investigations and action plans as needed.
- Any additional tasks requested by the direct leader
Responsible for:
- Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
- Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines
- Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
- Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position
- Support the positive EHS culture
Essential Qualifications:
- Advanced student or recent graduate in the related engineering field (e.g., electrical, electronics, mechatronics, Industrial).
- Technician Degree related (e.g. electricity, electronics, mechatronics)
- Experience with Industrial Processes and continuous improvement
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Minimum English level B1
Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Understanding mechanical drawings.
- Desirable experience working in an FDA regulated environment.
- Experience or knowledge of industrial processes with automation.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Initiatives
