Job Function Summary
|
- Responsible for performing general building maintenance, including monitoring and managing outside technicians and system upgrades. Responsible for ensuring production operations are uninterrupted through appropriate preventative maintenance and repairs.

Major Areas of Accountability
|
- Performs general building maintenance and repairs including painting, locks/hardware repairs, and light bulb replacements
- Maintain supply of spare parts for corrective maintenance activities
- Complete work orders as assigned
- Proactively identify and create work orders for corrective maintenance activities
- Work with contractors on repair estimates, equipment replacement, and other facilities projects
- Has impact on manufacturing meeting production schedules/goals through assuring a clean facility therefore must participate in daily housekeeping of buildings and grounds, ensuring both are clean and clear of debris
- Maintains and coordinates disposal and recycling of refuse
- Maintains and coordinates preventive maintenance of fire protection systems including sprinklers, fire extinguishers, and alarms, and security systems including access control and cameras
- Cleans debris from sidewalk and assists with other landscaping and general grounds maintenance
- Notifies facilities management concerning need for any repairs and safety problems
- May be involved in the clean-up and removal of bloodborne pathogens
- Performs or assists in office and other furniture moves
- Key position/function for maintaining safe and functional office and distribution environment
- Maintain and repair HVAC and associated systems
- Assist with facilities projects such as renovations and new building construction, as applicable

Level of Decision Making
The position holder has all necessary authorities to carry out the tasks described under responsibilities, with the limitations mentioned below and with Coloplast general rules and guidelines: Position holder cannot:
- Change own job description
- Change policy for the area
- Change the strategy – and /or activity plans
- Involve external persons in projects, which may give them knowledge of strategical and tactical issues without previous acceptance from (relevant manager)
The position holder is authorized to make quality related decisions and handle lot status codes in E1 after being trained.

Basic Qualifications
|
- Minimum of five year building maintenance experience
- HS Diploma or GED
- Willingness to contribute in a team environment
- Valid Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
|
- Associates Degree or higher preferred
Competencies & Skills (training provided during onboarding)
- Excellent communication skills
- Speak, read, and understand English at high school graduate level
- Ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, stand and walk for extended durations
- Basic computer proficiency, including building controls software, and use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as respond to internal customers needs on a timely basis
- Trouble shooting knowledge/skills and the ability to take initiative
- Knowledge of safety practices in following policies and working with tools
- Related experience in general building maintenance
- Excellent organization skills
- Operational and non-operational Skills documented in local Skill Matrix and Training plan according to VV-0559444 GD SKILL Management Instruction
- Training defined in the Global Distribution Training Catalogue
- Basic ISO 9001/ ISO 13485
- Basic MDSAP Audit
