Senior Project Manager - machine commissioning for innovations

Join an experienced team – ready to share their expertise
As part of the Commissioning Innovation Value Stream (IVS) at our HQ in Humlebæk, you will join 13 dedicated project managers and 3 portfolio managers within the ostomy, continence, consumer, wound & skin care and bowel management business areas.

Commissioning IVS is part of Global Commissioning responsible for machine commissioning projects. The team is divided between Humlebæk, Denmark, supporting innovation projects, and Hungary, supporting increased supply demand of existing products.

“The position is in a global function and will give you the opportunity to establish relations with people from across the world,” says Chi Nguyen.

Ensure a robust design review of new production machines
You will together with Pilot people and machine suppliers develop machines of different automation levels for the production of brand new products. Machine development process goes from the early innovation phase until process validation and delivery to the ramp up team. Depending on the size of the project, you will be managing 1-3 projects at a time, with support from the project owner and portfolio managers.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Drive execution of the machine development process from pilot concepts to high-volume production machines  
  • Ensure alignment between R&D, the Pilot and Ramp Up teams, suppliers and receiving manufacturing site in the design review process
  • Create project reliability in terms of clarifying the scope, providing overviews and robust plans, handling risks, and ensuring on-time project deliverables 
  • Be responsible for project budget and project documentation
  • Carry out stakeholder management and provide effective communication of risks and challenges to ensure clarity and transparency
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives


The global aspect of the job will take you travelling approx. 40 days a year to suppliers around the world and production sites, primarily in Hungary and secondarily in Costa Rica.

Technical project manager with a knack for stakeholder management
We imagine that you have a technical background and solid experience with managing machine projects, so you can participate in technical discussions with suppliers. 

As a project manager, you are known for your proactive communication style and visibility among your stakeholders. You are good at reaching out to the right people to collect the information you need and sharing project statuses in due time. Moreover, you communicate effortlessly in English.
