Product Support Specialist

Would you like to help us improve the lives of our customers? Then a position as a Specialist in Product Support could be it. We are looking for a new specialist and this could be the opportunity for you to be a part of a top-class team where responsibility, challenges and development go hand in hand. 

About the department
The focus of our department is to ensure Design Control and Risk Management by maintaining and improving the design, participating in improvement and quality projects, and ensuring high quality throughout the products lifespan. 
The department consists of 29 highly competent and dedicated specialists who are located in Coloplast Headquarter in Denmark and at one of our production sites in Hungary. To become a good specialist, you need to balance product, material, process, and design control knowledge, this makes the role complex and challenging.

The position is located at the Coloplast headquarters in Humlebæk 

Your role
You will be our stakeholders go-to person in relation to products on the market. You will mainly be participating in product-specific related projects and supporting our global production sites on our marketed products.

This includes:

  • Being the product expert on material knowledge, ensuring right specifications and product performance
  • Support to production sites in Hungary, China, Costa Rica, United States and Denmark
  • Create and maintain design control and risk management documentation 
  • Manage material changes, quality investigations and improvement projects
  • Ensure product compliance with product and quality standards
  • Coordinate product testing with internal and external laboratories
  • Give input to development projects, and challenge/support new design/products with knowledge from existing products
  • Support product upgrades and line extensions

What you bring
You hold a degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline combined with solid industry experience. Furthermore, you have:

  • Material knowledge e.g. polymers and coating
  • Strong analytical skills and toolbox
  • Process understanding within injection molding, extrusion, or other relevant processing of polymers
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Quality standards in Medical Device (MDR, ISO 13485) or similar areas
  • Experience with documentation and good documentation practice
  • Experience with designing test setups and interpreting data

Working in Product Support demands a high degree of flexibility, the ability to prioritize and handle different tasks simultaneously as a planned working day often is very dynamic. It is therefore important that you can work independently, take responsibility for your own tasks and work outside your base qualifications. It is therefore important you have a fine-tuned sense of urgency while at the same time maintaining a sense of calm

As we work in a global context, we also have close collaboration with Global R&D, Global Marketing, QA, Regulatory Affairs, our manufacturing sites, and external partners. It is therefore important that you can communicate and interact with your stakeholders in English, both verbally and in writing, and have an understanding of cultural preferences
