ERP Finance Specialist - Elevate Your Expertise with JD Edwards

About the department
Your new team consists of 4 colleagues located in Denmark, Poland and Belgium. The finance team is part of our greater ERP team which is spread across 6 European countries. No matter your location, your new colleagues will never feel too far away, since we are used to collaborating remotely. In ERP Finance, we cover all E1 finance modules and provide support for third-party solutions such as Concur (TEM) and Alusta (PO workflow).
About the job
Your role will be a key contributor to our ERP Finance team – covering process redesign, continuous improvements, project opportunities and some 3rd level support. You’ll be exposed to our change management processes and our company culture, giving you a unique insight into one of Europe’s largest medtech enterprises.
Your responsibilities
- Provide expert analysis on JDE/Enterprise One
- Ensure best practices for E1 in your projects by proactively participating in workshops, identifying issues and solutions, and working with the project manager to create timelines
- Review improvement suggestions for E1 design and processes from colleagues, prioritize them, build business cases, and carry out improvement projects
- Assist your finance team during month-end and year-end by creating reports and helping to find and close incomplete transactions
- Handle some occasional 3rd-level support cases and recommend problem management solutions
- Produce high quality documentation (user training, change/design requests etc.)
- Utilize new E1 technologies, like orchestrator, UDO’s, E1 pages and BIP Reports
Your background and experience:
We’re looking for a professional with several years of experience working with the E1 ERP system, preferably in international environments. This experience may come from a consulting background or from participating in multiple E1 project deployments. In addition, you have a proactive mindset and your are driven by continuous improvement. Since we operate as One IT globally, fluent English is essential for collaboration across countries.
Moreover we imagine that you have:
- Min. 3+ years of experience with the E1 ERP system, specifically with its finance modules
- Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting principles
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related field
- CPA or CFA certification will be an advantage, but not required
Competences:
- Strong leadership & negotiating skills to navigate project requirements vs best practice
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
