Head of Regional People and Culture (RIKA)
Seoul, KR

Regional Head of People and Culture — Seoul, South Korea
We’re looking for a People and Culture leader who can bring structure to complexity, build trust across cultures, and stay close to the business. This role combines regional strategic responsibility with hands‑on partnership in Korea, and it suits someone who enjoys working at different altitudes with confidence and humility.
Coloplast is a global medical device company dedicated to improving the lives of people with intimate healthcare needs. Our culture is built on closeness, passion, and respect & responsibility, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and business conduct. We empower our leaders to create an inclusive, high-performing environment while delivering sustainable growth and putting patients at the center of every decision.
About the role
Based in Seoul, you will contribute to both regional leadership and local impact:
Regional leadership across RIKA
You will partner closely with the Vice President for the RIKA region (Russia, India, Korea, rest of Asia) and work with colleagues across many markets. Your focus will be on organisational development, talent, leadership, and culture — ensuring that our regional People and Culture agenda is clear, consistent, and meaningful across diverse contexts.
You will report to the Senior Director of People and Culture, based in Denmark, and be part of a global team that values transparency, collaboration, and thoughtful challenge.
RIKA is part of the wider sales region of International Markets in the Chronic Care business unit, which spans 60+ markets across 5 continents. We are strongly committed to raising the standard of care for users across the globe and ensuring sustainable growth.
Local HR Business Partner for Korea and SEA markets
You will also serve as the HRBP for our Korean and SEA organisation, working directly with the Country Managers and their leadership team. This includes coaching leaders, supporting recruitment, guiding organisational decisions, and handling operational HR matters with care and professionalism.
This combination of strategic scope and operational involvement is intentional. We value leaders who understand the business by staying close to people and processes, and who see operational work as an essential part of building credibility and insight.
Creating clarity in a dynamic region
International Markets are fast‑moving and often ambiguous. A key part of your contribution will be helping leaders and teams find clarity — defining priorities, aligning expectations, and supporting decision‑making even when not everything is fully known. You bring structure without rigidity and communicate with respect across cultures and seniority levels.
What you’ll work on
- Shaping and executing the regional People and Culture strategy
- Leading organisational development and change initiatives
- Driving talent management, succession planning, and leadership development
- Coaching leaders and strengthening leadership capability
- Managing recruitment in Korea, SEA (Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia), and be involved in senior recruitments in other markets
- Partnering with leaders to identify challenges, propose solutions, and support implementation
- Ensuring smooth and thoughtful handling of operational HR matters
- Building strong cross‑cultural relationships with other regional teams and Headquarters in Denmark
- Travelling within Korea and internationally as needed
What you bring
- Several years of solid experience in generalist HR roles
- Experience working across cultures and collaborating with senior stakeholders
- Leadership experience, whether through formal roles or influence
- Strong capabilities in organizational development, talent management, recruitment, and leadership coaching
- Business acumen and the ability to connect people decisions to business outcomes
- Curiosity, openness, and a desire to make a meaningful difference
- A university degree
- Fluency in Korean and English
Who you are
You are someone who communicates clearly, builds trust naturally, and adapts your approach to different cultural and organisational contexts. You enjoy balancing strategic thinking with practical partnership, and you lead with both confidence and respect. Most importantly, you care about people and culture as the foundation of how an organisation succeeds.
For more information about the role please contact Senior Director of People and Culture Tanja Gourbo-Novik (+45 4911 1923) and Vice President of Region RIKA Sean Lee (+82 10 8625 0219).
