Job Function Summary
The Interventional Urology (IU) Senior Contracts & Operations Manager in North America will be responsible for ensuring compliance to Coloplast policies and procedures related to HCP and Vendor contracting and payment activities primarily within the Professional Education function, as well as supporting contracting for other areas of the IU business, globally.  This position serves as the focal point for leading the development, execution and management of IU’s contracts with HCPs, Patient Educators, and Vendors, ensuring compliance with Coloplast policies and external regulations. This includes facilitating alignment between internal stakeholders involved with contract requests and those who will ensure IU commitments under HCP and Vendor contracts. This position also partners closely with Professional Education, Clinical, Compliance, Legal, Marketing and R&D to ensure compliant execution and payment given the terms of all agreements. This position is accountable for proactive management of day-to-day contracting operations, as well as ensuring that all processes and systems are efficient and compliant.



Major Areas of Accountability

  • Responsible for managing and organizing all Interventional Urology HCP and Vendor contracts to always ensure compliance. This includes maintaining oversight of current agreement status, drafting templated agreements for new contracts and renewals, communications with HCPs throughout the process, tracking the status of agreements in process, managing negotiations in partnership with compliance and legal, filing of signed contracts in the Coloplast systems and processing of HCP Professional Education invoices
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall contracting process
  • Assisting in the Annual Needs Assessment Development Process across multiple businesses
  • Lead cross functional strategic projects related to contracting activities to ensure business needs are met, adequate capabilities, seamless process and appropriate utilization
  • Optimize existing processes through appropriate use of policies related to sales, marketing, clinical, and education support activities; implement new processes as they become relevant
  • Proactively build relationships and work with cross-functional partners such as Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Professional Education, & R&D to ensure education and alignment of the contracting process, as well as to streamline timelines and execution
  • Assist with the negotiation of contracts and business terms and conditions when requested
  • Ensure corporate requirements are met and high-quality data integrity is maintained while implementing contracts: notifications, documentation, record management, database maintenance, systems-related updates, and other follow up items as needed
  • Provide oversight on HCP reimbursement policies, procedures, and invoices
  • Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries
  • Support the Coloplast Leadership Promise in actions and the team’s work

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or equivalent.
  • +10 years’ experience working with contracts, project management, or legal department; healthcare industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvements to established policies.
  • Results driven, decisive, and confident in communicating and influencing at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience with handling all elements of people management ranging from recruitment activities to administering employee performance reviews.
  • Solid business acumen and an appreciation of financial contractual implications.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidence to apply independent judgment and creativity to contract resolution issues, in partnership with legal and compliance stakeholders.
  • Proven track record with consistent high performance both academically and professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to use strong verbal reasoning skills to analyze, assess corporate risk, and communicate to appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $140,000 – $185,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
