Talent Acquisition Partner 

The Talent Acquisition Partner will be a member of the People and Culture team and will have responsibility for recruitment across our UK and Ireland business.  This role is based at our Peterborough Head Office with the option of regular home working.

 

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this role assumes an extensive brief and is the lead in all matters related to recruitment, in particular direct hiring. The successful candidate will be experienced in recruitment including having a solid understanding of the employment marketplace and trends in recruitment strategies, experience of employer branding activity that improves candidate pipelines, the ability to recruit at all levels and will be confident in resourcing for a wide variety of skill sets.  This role will work alongside a Talent Acquisition Coordinator.

You will have proven experience of recruiting for job roles at all levels. You will have ownership of all supplier vendor relationships. Additionally, you will be a strong communicator who is able to build trust easily, working closely with the business to understand about the positions they need recruiting and helping them to make the best decisions. Our ideal candidate will want to take ownership of the full recruitment process, be performance driven and able to multitask. 

 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Working as a trusted business partner you will deliver the end to end recruitment process in partnership with the relevant HR Business Partner and the business
  • You will advise on best practice ensuring that candidates get a best in class experience and that you deliver excellent customer service to hiring managers
  • Before recruiting you will create a recruitment strategy for the vacancy, working with your key stakeholders
  • You will learn about the business to enable you to advise on the most appropriate attraction campaigns and you will have a strong passion to drive direct sourcing
  • Support managers to write job adverts
  • Screen and interview candidates and interpret test results
  • Provide recommendations to the hiring manager
  • Proactive LinkedIn user showcasing our employer brand and identifying potential candidates
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for selected roles
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of the market place including competitor activity, sharing knowledge to develop attraction and resourcing solutions
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to ensure recruitment administration is completed to a high standard providing the best experience for every candidate in the process
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partners to understand and predict resourcing and succession planning requirements
  • Lead local projects that continuously improve our processes, branding and recruitment activity
  • Lead the annual Graduate recruitment cycle – branding, attraction, sourcing, assessment and liaison with our global recruitment team
  • Support the utilisation of apprenticeships
  • Manage temporary labour contracts and performance of our providers
  • Own and deliver an annual preferred supplier review and manage relationships with with agency suppliers
  • Develop, understand and communicate key metrics for the recruitment process and drive improvements
  • Manage a recruitment budget
  • Operate in compliance with appropriate standards and adhere to Company guidelines for Business, Ethics and Compliance

 

Experience and Competencies required to be successful

  • Solid experience in a similar role
  • A good feel for recruiting trends and the applicant market – you will be able to put yourself in the shoes of different target groups with a desire to want to continuously benchmark and drive improvements
  • Good knowledge of social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook) and direct search techniques
  • A natural ability to be curious and ask impactful questions
  • Strong general business acumen and understanding of the driving factors that impact organisational decision-making
  • An ability to influence and challenge the status quo
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills
  • Project management experience
  • Analytical mindset with experience of analysing data, seeking out and understanding trends, testing hypothesis, making recommendations, and evaluating the impact of decisions
  • A brilliant member of the team, a partner to the business and a passion to hire the best talent
