Clinical Programme Manager 

Coloplast Limited is a leading international healthcare company. We are currently recruiting for new role, Clinical Programme Manager.  This role covers the UK and Ireland so will include travel as required for the role.  The balance of the time will involve presence in our Head office in Peterborough (roughly 25% of the time), and home working.

The role:

 

Reporting to the Director of Payers and Evidence this role will lead the UK and Ireland strategic Clinical Programme activity, providing clinical trial and scientific rigour to the evidence generation required across our Chronic Care portfolio. The role will work closely with HQ colleagues in Medical Affairs especially Evidence & Adoption and Clinical Operations.

 

 

Essential duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities:

 

  • Own UK/Ireland evidence generation and develop the local clinical evidence road map across Chronic Care in conjunction with Marketing, Market Access, Evidence & Adoption and Medical Affairs teams. The role will also support the global Evidence roadmaps to build evidence with KOLs and disseminate global evidence.
  • To keep updated on the latest trends in international research and evidence in continence, ostomy and wound care   
  • Provide scientific support to Market Access and Marketing activities as required (e.g., market research and KOL advisory boards)
  • Work closely with Market Access teams on appropriate activities to support rapid and unrestricted reimbursement
  • Manage some investigator-initiated trials and Coloplast trials on behalf of the company for existing and new products that includes:
    • Managing KOLs associated with study design and implementation
    • Develop credible clinical, clinical trial relationships and advocates
  • Lead on collection and publication of robust data to support the business in conjunction with Marketing, Medical marketing and Global and local Payers & Evidence teams especially Evidence and Adoption
  • Lead on provision of scientific and medical support in the preparation of dossiers for pricing and reimbursement and/or health technology appraisal with national bodies such as NICE and MHRA
  • Work with Global Med Affairs to access UK patients and promote UK as place to test new product developments

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

 

  • Degree qualified (Masters or Ph.D. preferred) in a Life Science or pharmacy discipline
  • Experience of working with set up of Clinical and/or Real-World Evidence trials in conjunction with the NHS.
  • Capacity to develop a detailed understanding of key products with our Chronic Care portfolio
  • Proven track record of working with, and influencing, clinical teams in the NHS to develop robust studies
  • Excellent persuasive written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative with ability to anticipate and influence future environmental change.
  • Experience of managing external agency relationships and contracted programmes.
