The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a critical team within our business. We are looking for a strong ‘People Leader’ to support, motivate and drive success within our fast-paced Business Support Services team. This is a Secondment position which is likely to be for a period of 12 months.  


We are looking for someone that conveys passion to make a difference, with the ability to manage a team as well as manage specific daily tasks. The ideal applicant will have leadership experience and will have sound knowledge of processes and the ability and confidence to make recommendations for improvement.


Your key accountabilities will be to role model behaviour bringing out the best in the team, plan and execute training and engage and motivate the team to achieve both individual and organisational Key Performance indicators.    


Responsibilities include:

  • Act as coach to your team to develop individuals and identify process improvements to enhance customer experience.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, focussing on long term development, performance summaries and to understand individuals
  • Manage customer product complaints within the team, liaising with Global HQ.
  • Performance Management, completing return to work, absent management, probation reviews and performance improvement plans
  • Ensure department goals / KPIs are met
  • Drive performance at individual employee level in all team tasks aiming to exceed customer expectations and meets the commercial goals
  • Daily workplace management, ensure team are tasked efficiently and in line with department workforce planning
  • Stakeholder Management, working with key stakeholders to improve business and issue resolution
  • Co-work with other Business Support Services Team Leader to successfully lead the wider team of approx. 30 staff
  • Continuous improvement activity
  • Building a successful team through effective recruitment
  • Regular communication to teams on company and business unit performance and achievements
  • Develop and agree training strategy for team
