The Head of Business support guides and oversees all finance, compliance, and operational activities of the sales subsidiary. Serves as the key contact between the subsidiary and the corporate functions. Leads continuous improvement of business operations and is responsible for forecasting the full P&L in rolling forecasts and annual business planning. You act as a strategic sparring partner to Country Manager and have a strong commercial acumen and focus on simplifying and automation.  

You will report to Country Manager and be part of the Executive Team.  

 

Key responsibilities of the role 

 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of customer service, finance and supply chain as well as the development and implementation of effective and efficient Finance & Administration policies and procedures throughout the organization. 
  • Accountable and responsible for the preparation and management of external and internal financial reporting, summaries and forecasts of future business growth, financial planning and its integrity, local accounting practices, credit and collections and fosters a “no surprises” culture together with Commercial Excellence Manager. 
  • Driving the cost controlling agenda by engaging functional leads to cost forecasts and spending monthly 
  • Proactively drives continuous improvement agenda in all business processes with strong focus on lean, simplification, automatization, and digitalization 
  • Owns all business support related projects and improvement programs 
  • Responsible for leading and developing a team to include talent and a succession pipeline 
  • Maintains regular contact and relationship with the corporate staff functions to ensure local adaptation of corporate functional strategies. 
  • Participate in global company network and meetings to develop and implement consistent, global programs and practices. 
  • Oversees and manages Transaction Accounting for the subsidiary (where applicable) in close collaboration with our business center in Poland. 
  • Manage, maintain and develop relationships with local banking institutions, legal advisors, public institutions, corporate insurance providers, external auditors and tax authorities. 
  • Lead the Business Support team includes 4-5 employees
  • Develops and maintains a strong system of internal controls in cooperation with Corporate Finance 
  • Analyses new laws, regulations and trends for potential impact on company goals and objectives. 
  • Accountable for local legal compliance. 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Typically, 5-7 years’ experience in progressive roles within the areas of business support, preferably a Finance professional with commercial insight including demonstrated leadership and management responsibilities. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of senior level management experience. 
  • Quantitively based master’s degree, Finance or MBA preferred 
  • Demonstrated process improvement capabilities. Knowledge of lean practices is a plus 
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities. Formal courses or education is a plus 
  • Flair and preference for working in IT systems with outstanding excel skills. Broad knowledge of Finance, supply chain, customer service and Legal guidelines and policies. 
  • Our business language is English, and knowledge of Scandinavian language is preferable.
