This Upstream marketing role supports our North American Wound and Skin Care business and is based in Minneapolis, MN.

For wound and skin care, our products are designed to prevent and manage skin conditions and chronic wounds such as pressure injuries and leg ulcers. Our customers are hospital systems and other care settings where we engage with decision makers such as WOC nurses, Infection Prevention Nurses, and Supply Chain Managers.

 

 

Team dynamics

The successful candidate will join a small team of approximately 10 high caliber marketing professionals that enjoy working and collaborating together from our Minneapolis office on West River Road in a hybrid work setting. We enjoy a small business mindset within a larger organization, with ambitious growth targets and unique product solutions. We focus on customer-centric initiatives and high impact projects that are aligned to our business priorities.

 

 

Job fuction summary

This position will partner closely with colleagues in Global Marketing (based in Denmark) and Innovation (based in Mankato, MN) by providing customer input to drive and influence product development and portfolio expansion plans that bring relevant solutions to our customers across North America. The main job functions for this role include:

 

  • Understanding our market and competitive environment by evaluating products and services of competitors, analyzing market data and industry insights to identify market trends, and developing relationships with thought leaders, organizations, and institutions.

 

  • Listening and responding to our customers to uncover unmet needs by conducting various methods of market research, including organizing and executing advisory boards and focus groups, developing and implementing surveys, planning and executing primary and secondary market research, and interfacing regularly with customers and sales teams.

 

  • Summarizing qualitative and quantitative studies and drawing actionable conclusions to identify product and service opportunities

 

  • Preparing and presenting recommendations to executive leadership, and developing forecasts, business cases and pricing recommendations to drive new product development programs.

 

 

Essential qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or other relevant field of study (MBA preferred)
  • 4-6 Years successful experience in marketing including evidence of forecasting and market research activities
  • Ability to relate easily and establish relationships quickly
  • Ability to analyze data and present conclusions in a concise and compelling manner
  • Core skills to include strong communication, reasoning, and organizational skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel to conferences and meet with customers (10-20% travel)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
