Coloplast has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Manager, HCP Contracts to join our growing team!


The Interventional Urology (IU) Sr. Manager, HCP (Health Care Practitioner) Contracts in North America will be responsible for managing the end to end HCP contracts experience for internal and external stakeholders.  This position serves as the focal point for coordinating the development, execution and management of IU’s contracts with HCPs, ensuring compliance with Coloplast policies and external regulations. This includes facilitating  alignment between internal stakeholders involved with contract requests and those who will ensure IU commitments under HCP contracts. This position will serve as the primary contact point for HCPs who are partnering with IU throughout the term of their agreements.  This position also partners closely with Physician Education, Fellows Educationand Marketing to ensure compliant execution and payment given the terms of  HCP agreements. This position is accountable for proactive management of day to day HCP contracting operations,, as well as ensuring that all processes and systems are efficient and compliant. Through talent management, excellent execution and continuous improvement the position ensures that Coloplast business compliance goals are met.


Major Areas of Accountability

  • Responsible for managing and organizing all Interventional Urology HCP contracts to ensure compliance at all times.
  • Manage cross functional strategic projects related to HCP contracts to ensure business needs are met, adequate capabilities, seamless process and effective utilization.
  • Optimize existing processes through appropriate use of policies related to sales, marketing, and education support activities; implements new processes as they become relevant.
  • Proactively work with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment of the contracting process and to establish contractual relationships with HCPs  while upholding critical business initiatives.
  • Lead the processes for assessing current state of HCP  contracts and implement a database to store all active HCP contracts.
  • Provide education, recommendations & guidance to decision-makers and cross-functional partners on the contracting process and policies.
  • Manage Coloplast internal stakeholders on HCP contract negotiation and other HCP contractual matters, build relationships with key internal clients, including Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Physician Education, Fellows Educationand Sales to facilitate understanding, proactively influence timely decision-making, and streamline execution of contractual terms & conditions.
  • Assist coordinators with the negotiation of customer contracts and business terms and conditions when requested.
  • Ensure corporate requirements are met and high-quality data integrity is maintained while implementing contracts: notifications, documentation, record management, database maintenance, systems-related updates, and other follow up items as needed.
  • Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
  • Manage external customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiencies within contracts processes while providing on-going communication to internal departments and external customers.
  • Perform all elements of the Coloplast Performance Review process for direct reports.
  • Ensure coaching and ongoing talent development.
  • Support the Coloplast Leadership Promise in actions and the team’s work.

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Contract Law or equivalent.
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience working with contracts or legal department; healthcare industry preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience with managing a team in a fast-paced environment – ideally in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvements to established policies.
  • Results driven, decisive, and confident in communicating and influencing at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience with handling all elements of people management ranging from recruitment activities to administering employee performance reviews.
  • Solid business acumen and an appreciation of financial contractual implications.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidence to apply independent judgment and creativity to contract resolution issues, in partnership with legal and compliance stakeholders.
  • Proven track record with consistent high performance both academically and professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to use strong verbal reasoning skills to analyze, assess corporate risk, and communicate to appropriate internal stakeholders.
