The Interventional Urology Senior Manager – Strategic Sourcing is responsible for all spend and relationships with external direct material suppliers including contractual obligations. It supports the Interventional Urology profitable growth by leading the interactions with external partners, partnering with internal business areas to manage risks proactively, maximizing value creation and ensure reliable supply. We pursue a strategic holistic approach to managing categories and value professional skills such as strategic sourcing, disciplined negotiation, supplier management, risk management, project management, team facilitation, and managing the total cost of ownership. We prioritize the ability to work cross functionally and consider an ability to proactively manage stakeholders at all levels of the organization a critical competency.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Lead a small team of sourcing professionals.
  • Develop and drive to implementation supplier and category management strategies
  • Build robust supplier relationships to drive innovation, supply assurance, and cost optimization
  • Conduct the necessary spend analysis and market surveys, and work towards lowering the TCO of for direct materials, through process improvements, strategic sourcing and elimination of waste
  • Manage and lead the supplier selection process
  • Drive business resilience through a combination of alternate source identification and contractual agreements.
  • Develop, review, negotiate and execute complex business agreements and contracts
  • Drive safety and compliance to regulations and company policies, procedures and standards
  • Own, manage, and lead business relationships with key suppliers where appropriate

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a supply chain or technical / quantitative discipline is required
  • 7+ years proven strategic sourcing work experience and a track record of mitigating risk, driving improvement projects, and reducing cost
  • Strategic “big picture” thinker with a passion for creating better solutions and the ability to transform goals into actionable plans
  • Team player with requisite emotional intelligence, good interpersonal skills
  • Committed to working in a quality environment; seeks to understand and desires to create novel solutions to existing business challenges
  • Project management strengths in team facilitation, requirements definition, stakeholder management, and communicating, executing and driving projects to completion
  • Must be a results oriented with an ability to prioritize and able to deliver under challenging circumstances
  • Experience working with different functional disciplines and at various levels of the organization

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad “direct” commodity experiences.
  • Knowledge of chemicals, packaging, blow molding, contract manufacturing is very helpful
  • Six Sigma or prior project management leadership experiences of cross functional teams
  • CPM / CPSM / APICS national certification
  • Knowledge of GMP environments. Experience working in regulated environments
  • MBA or equivalent educational and work experience

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $90,479 - $135,718.  Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
