  • The Interventional Urology (IU) Senior Sales Training Manager is responsible for setting strategy for the IU commercial team. Specifically, this will involve developing pathways and training platforms for increasing the competence and confidence of our sales partners when using Coloplast products.  The IU Senior Sales Training Manager has responsibility for strategically identifying, developing, and implementing tools, resources, and programs which align the efforts of key stakeholders in the Interventional Urology organization.  This role is to help create a collaborative and cohesive work environment between education, human resources, sales, and marketing to ensure successful and highly effective Sales Training Pathways.  Is also responsible for overseeing and providing direction to the Interventional Urology sales training team for training operations for all courses.

    Major Areas of Accountability

    • Work closely with internal/external stakeholders, create high-quality, program-specific materials, based on verifiable sales outcomes, drive its development according to set timelines and determine the appropriate educational strategy/channel for delivery.
    • Drive innovation in learning delivery based on adult education principles and best practices from educational research. Determine appropriate sales pathways for each step of development for different attendee groups.
    • Establish course pre-requisite requirements and assessment tools.
    • Incorporate current most effective Adult Learning Principles and educational research into course curricula and create opportunities for interactivity.
    • This role is responsible for providing direction to the sales training team for operations for all courses.  Leads execution of Sales Education courses. 
    • Collaborate with marketing directors to develop and implement quarterly plans of action.
    • Lead the cost analysis, budget preparation, and fiscal operation of sales training programs and related events.
    • Responsibility for all Interventional Urology sales training programs and the sales trainers that own them for the Men’s Health, Women’s Health, and Endourology business units.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to the sales trainers reporting to them and process improvement ideas for their sales training programs.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant area is required.
    • Master's Degree preferred, in a business, medical or science-related specialty.
    • 10+ years of work experience in a related position such as sales training, medical education/communications, or professional work with an academic institution/hospital/university, medical society or other role in the medical device industry.
    • 3-5+ years of people leadership experience
    • Expert knowledge of continuing professional development, adult education principles, and instructional design. Well versed in established professional medical content creation. Strong communication skills. Self-motivated.
    • Urology/Urogynecology experience preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.
    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency required.
    • Willingness and ability to travel (30-50%).
