Senior Demand Planner 

 

Coloplast has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Demand Planner to join our growing team!

 

As a Demand Planner, you are a key, strategic part of serving patients and their needs worldwide.  You will work cross functionally by acting as a liaison between the commercial organization (Sales and Marketing) and the manufacturing and distribution organizations (Operations).  You will communicate demand requirements, risks and opportunities to the operations team and communicate supply risks and opportunities to the commercial team. 

 

In this position, you will facilitate the S&OP process across multiple product lines.  We are looking for someone who is very analytical, effective at building relationships and learning from others and is driven to deliver results and meet customer expectations.  This is a key role in the growth of our organization.

 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Key in facilitating the S&OP process with cross-functional partners
  • Facilitate the forecasting process with Sales and Marketing to understand and capture all sources of demand (new business, scheduling agreements, distributor demand, etc.)
  • Maintain sku level forecasts to accurately reflect market need and timing
  • Communicate demand requirements to Operations highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Negotiate supply response with Supply Planning team; communicate all supply risks and opportunities to Sales & Marketing and regional teams
  • Monitor finished good inventory levels to ensure world class service levels across the globe
  • Monitor and manage inventory, customer service level, backorder, forecast performance (accuracy and bias) and other key Supply Chain KPI’s
  • Act as primary Supply Chain team member on new product launch teams
  • Develop demand assumptions, launch and inventory plan with cross-functional partner buy-in
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, materials management, business or other related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand and/or supply planning
  • Strong analytical skills and use of data to make decisions and suggestions
  • Very proficient with ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other computing programs
  • Working knowledge of MRP, DRP, and MPS
  • Strong communications skills (written and spoken), willing to communicate with all levels of the organization and globally
  • Works collaboratively and builds relationships with all functions and locations
  • Can work independently, is driven to achieve and learn

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forecast training certification (IBF CPF, IIF Certified Forecaster, etc.)
  • APICS, Lean, Six Sigma or other training
  • Medical device or other heavily regulated industry experience
