Sales Training Manager

The Sales Training Manager will be responsible for supporting our Interventional Urology business’s sales and marketing initiatives through the design, development, coordination and implementation of ongoing sales training programs that include clinical knowledge, selling skills, sales process, utilization of business planning/tracking/reporting tools, business acumen, market development strategies, and quarterly POA process. This role is to help create a collaborative and cohesive work environment between sales training, field sales organization, and marketing to create successful and highly productive sales professionals. This person will identify, develop, and implement tools, resources, and programs that align the efforts of key stakeholders within the Interventional Urology organization. This position is a remote field position, aandidates residing in all continental US states will be considered.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Design, deliver and continuously improving a comprehensive onboarding program that accelerates new field sales individuals’ readiness, confidence, performance and key competencies. This role blends instructional design, facilitation, curriculum development, and cross functional collaboration. Ensure every new hire is equipped with the product knowledge, clinical acumen, selling skills and cultural understanding required to be successful.
- Leverage a diverse range of learning modalities-including instructor led training (virtual and in-person), eLearning modules, video-based learning, microlearning, simulations, and scenario-based practice to create an engaging, high-impact training experience that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Define the overall structure, learning pathways, and competency-based progression for all clinical and procedural education. Align curriculum design with commercial strategy, applicable clinical evidence, and field competencies. Establish learning objectives that support foundational knowledge, application-level skills and procedural confidence.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing and our Field Sales Training teams to ensure all training content, messaging, and initiatives are aligned with commercial priorities, market strategy, and field execution needs. Integrating product updates, competitive insights, and sales process improvements into training programs that directly support field sales readiness and performance.
- Coordinate all logistical elements of training programs, including scheduling facilitators, reserving and preparing meeting spaces, managing travel and accommodations as needed. Ensure all materials, technology and resources are in place to support seamless, high quality sales training programs.
- Develop and manage content & direction for the FST (Field Sales Training) team. Collaborate within our Sales Training team in the development and improvements to the FST program for Interventional Urology, North America.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners including Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Field Sales Trainers to design, develop and execute high-impact National Sales Meetings and Quarterly Plan of Action meetings. Lead coordination of content development, agenda planning, breakout session design, facilitator alignment, ensuring meetings effectively reinforce commercial priorities, drive field readiness and support strategic business objectives.
- Work in partnership with Sales Leadership and Field Sales Trainers by conducting quarterly field visits, observing customer interactions, identifying targeted skill development opportunities and provide actionable feedback that enhances performance. Identify competency gaps, tailor training interventions, and reinforce best practices to ensure consistent high-quality execution across that sales organization.
- Manage the budget for sales training initiatives, ensuring all programs are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and within approved financial guidelines. Partner with Finance and Sales Leadership to maintain fiscal discipline while optimizing resources for maximum training impact.
- Work with Marketing partners to ensure that any content used or developed for any sales training initiative or corporate sponsored meetings are reviewed and approved through Veeva PromoMats regulatory application.
- Utilize Mindtickle Sales Enablement platform to deliver structured learning paths, assign coursework, track learners progress, administer knowledge checks and measure competency.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant area is required.
- Master's Degree preferred in a business, medical or science-related specialty.
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in medical field with emphasis on hospital selling, OR surgical case support, and contract negotiations with hospital purchasing groups.
- 3+ years’ experience developing and implementing sales training programs and/or experience as a designated/compensated field sales trainer is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of continuing professional development, adult education principles, and instructional design. Well versed in established professional medical content creation.
- Urology/Urogynecology experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self-starter and strong motivation are essential.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GPS360 or Articulate proficiency required.
- Willingness and ability to travel (30-50%).

- Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $122,308 - 183,462. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
