Group Marketing Manager

The Interventional Urology Group Marketing Manager will be responsible for Downstream Marketing execution of key business initiatives for their product line and therapy areas.  The position will set the direction, establish the strategic objectives, and execute competitive downstream activities, including successfully launching products to the US market for their respective therapies and products.  This position works closely with the commercial sales team and field-based marketers to drive key marketing initiatives, as well as alignment with cross-functional partners to develop and execute optimal therapy focused strategies to meet the organization’s objectives.

 

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Lead, develop and build an effective marketing team focused on developing and executing marketing strategies for their respective products or programs
  • Drive execution of the commercial strategy to meet revenue, profitability and budget objectives
  • Effectively lead team of marketing product managers to deliver excellence in product marketing and developing professional acumen.
  • Develops and coordinates core content covering market knowledge, product knowledge, customer knowledge, key clinical data, as well as relevant selling environment information to ensure new hires are fully knowledgeable of all key focus areas for Coloplast.
  • Manage all marketing and business aspects of defined products and therapy areas including: product launches, forecasting, budgeting, marketing plans, quarterly POAs, marketing literature and ongoing promotional campaigns and programs that drive growth.
  • Drive initiative on annual marketing plan by working closely with the sales team and other cross functional partners.
  • Develop and lead marketing strategy and implementation for competitive marketing and the implanter strategy for their respective products, therapies
  • Drive and support revenue growth, pricing, and commercialization of Interventional Urology implantable business.
  • Lead the development and execution of new product launches globally to help promote new business opportunities, growth and financial profitability.
  • Identify growth opportunities, define, develop and implement marketing programs, targeting key customer and patient segments to grow the global business.
  • Support KOL development in the US and develop and leverage relationships with Global KOLs.
  • Partner with sales training to develop competency in technical skills plus an opportunity for continuing education.
  • Work with colleagues in key functional areas, including R&D, sales, reimbursement, supply chain, clinical, medical affairs, and regulatory to drive business objectives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Business or Marketing is required, MBA strongly preferred
  • 8+ years medical device marketing experience
  • 2+ years Marketing leadership experience or leadership development training
  • Successful project and team management experience, people management experience preferred
  • Experience with urology therapies preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong sales orientation and commercial marketing experience. Solid understanding of US healthcare value chain
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions to prioritize and drive strategic objectives
  • Understanding of the nature of sales process in the US
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate high degree of initiative and self-motivation with a strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems with minimal direction and make decisions with confidence
  • Aptitude to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines
  • Open-minded with a global/international focus
