Job Function Summary
The IT Business Partner has a dual role serving both as a strategic advisor linking Digital, Data & IT with the business need in the BU/Function to drive growth, innovation and transformation and overseeing the activities within the BU/Function.
Key elements of the role:
Strategic Alignment: Translates business strategies into clear, accountable DD&IT outcomes, ensuring organizational commitment to shared priorities.
Business Partnering and Program Leadership: Acts as a trusted advisor to senior executives, manages DD&IT portfolios, leads programs within the BU/Function and drives collaboration across business units to deliver timely, value-driven solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Builds strong relationships with governance bodies, executives, and external vendors, effectively communicating the benefits and priorities of DD&IT initiatives.
The Business Partner acts as a thought leader and champions future-oriented solutions, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and ensures that DD&IT investments deliver measurable business value.
Major Areas of Accountability
Strategic Alignment
- Translate business strategies into accountable and measurable DD&IT outcomes.
- Ensure alignment and organizational commitment to shared goals and priorities.
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to BU EVP and senior leadership, embedding business perspectives into DD&IT roadmaps
- Manage intake and prioritization of business requests, coordinating with architects, delivery teams
- Shape and own the DD&IT portfolio for the BU´s, lead programs in the BU/Function and ensures transparency in scope, funding, and value realization
- Drive seamless collaboration between business units and process excellence, and enterprise architecture
- Provide technology advisory, identifying opportunities to innovate and create business value through emerging technologies
- Elicit, analyse, and document business needs, processes, and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Support business in translating requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for delivery teams
- Facilitate workshops (e.g., requirement sessions, process design, and solution validation) and ensure alignment across stakeholders
- Support solution evaluation by partnering with architects and product teams to assess options, impacts, dependencies, and risks
- Define and track benefit and KPI measures together with the business to support value realisation and continuous improvement.
Program Management
- Lead global programs within the area of responsibility
- Define program scope, objectives, and success metrics in collaboration with the leadership team in the relevant area.
- Lead steering committee sessions and prepare stakeholder updates.
- Set direction and governance, managing interdependence and risks.
- Ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet business objectives and compliance standards.
- Appoint and manage multiple cross-functional teams organized in program tracks including DD&IT Project managers, Business PMs, Solution Architects, and external vendors.
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps with clear milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster strong relationships with governance bodies and senior stakeholders to drive alignment on priorities, resources, and timelines
- Communicate value propositions and long-term benefits of DD&IT initiatives to business leaders, including BU/Function leadership teams
- Lead communication efforts across program phases, including change management and training.
Organizational Enablement & Change Leadership
- Set overall direction for the programs within scope and ensure effective execution and value generation
- Empower project managers to operate effectively in strategic contexts
- Act as a change agent to embed enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and promote a culture of digital transformation.
Communication and stakeholder interaction:
Internal stakeholders – Executive Leadership (ELT-1); Business Unit Leaders/Country Managers; DD&IT Leadership Team; EVP for the assigned Function; Corporate Functions (HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance)
- Ability to negotiate critical matters and handle tough divergent communication to reach a desired outcome
- Interacts internally and externally with executive level management
- Innovate with technology to address the business ideas and challenges to deliver strategic outcomes
External stakeholder – Technology Vendors & Managed Service Providers

Geographic responsibility:
- Ensures global scalability of solutions and understands the importance of involving various global stakeholders
- Consider the impact of decisions and initiatives on other areas of the organisation
- Demonstrates a very strong global mindset and knowledge about different cultures
- Engagement with key stakeholders will require world-wide travel
Additional Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in project and program management role, with a proven ability to deliver complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
- Leadership experience preferred with ability to influence stakeholders bridging between business and IT
- Demonstrated success in business partnering and engaging senior executives to shape strategic roadmaps and deliver measurable business value
- Deep understanding of enterprise governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT) and program management standards, with the ability to apply them pragmatically.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong strategic mindset combined with executional rigour—able to anticipate trends, identify opportunities, and translate vision into actionable outcomes.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, including QA and GxP, within a global context an advantage

- Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $130,021 - $195,562. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
