Contracts Analyst

As a Contract Analyst, you will be responsible for managing customer contracts for key customers to optimize our top and bottom line in partnership with our sales team. The Contracts Analyst covers all steps from analyzing the initial contract proposal to following up on customer performance. You will work in a talented and dynamic team environment with frequent exposure to our Interventional Urology leadership team.
Major Areas of Accountability
Contract Management
- Collaborate with the Sales team to establish contractual relationships with key Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), and local customers while upholding critical business initiatives. This includes but is not limited to RFP, RFI, RFQ, bids, and contract requests
- Analyze contract terms and conditions to determine compliance and assess corporate risk, while acquiring and documenting appropriate stakeholder approvals
- Serve as point of contact for Coloplast internal clients on contract negotiation and other contractual matters, including status of contracts in process and tracking of contracts in the Contracts Database
- Build relationships with key internal clients, including Legal, Finance, Marketing, Regulatory, and Global Operations to facilitate understanding, proactively influence timely decision-making, and streamline execution of contractual terms & conditions
- Assist with the negotiation of customer contracts on business terms and conditions when requested by the sales team
- Ensure corporate requirements are met while implementing contracts: notifications, documentation, price file uploads, record management, database maintenance, systems-related updates, and other follow up items as needed
Contract Process Education
- Educate internal business partners on Coloplast contract request and review process
- Translate detailed contract language into concise, clear communications to help internal customers and other external customers better understand contract related terms
- Design or improve upon processes & tools to help the Contracts team facilitate accurate workflow management, contract price loading, KPI monitoring, data management, and record retention
- Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries
Ad hoc Requests
- Develop reports for senior management on contract performance and summaries of key terms & conditions
- Design queries from various data sources to assist in research and analysis to contractual requirements

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area is required.
- 3+ years experience working with contracts, negotiations, or legal department; healthcare industry is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements is preferred
- Excellent understanding of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvements to established policies
- Solid understanding of the business needs and an appreciation of financial contractual implications
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence to apply independent judgment and creativity to contract resolution issues, in partnership with legal and compliance stakeholders
- Comfortable with communicating and influencing at all levels within the organization
- Proven track record with consistent high performance both academically and professionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with managing multiple initiatives / projects
- Technical proficiency with the following tools / systems: Word, Excel, Outlook, Enterprise One, Power BI
- A team player with the ability to use strong verbal reasoning skills to analyze elements of contract language
