Job Function Summary
Your primary area of responsibility will be to support Coloplast’s Durable Medical Equipment (DME) businesses and to contribute to the overall development and implementation of our North America compliance program.

We want to continuously raise the bar and to emphasize our high business ethical standards. This involves partnering with business, managing compliance projects, defining procedures and policies as well as developing business ethics training for colleagues and external partners – both face-to-face training and e-learning.

 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Manages and partners to implement the Coloplast Code of Conduct, industry Codes of conduct, Coloplast’s compliance management framework, Medicare Supplier Standards, and other, global, regional, local policies, tools and systems.
  • Supports existing compliance requirements and assist in identifying emerging risks related to Coloplast’s DME operations, including Performance Improvement (PI) requirements outlined in the Medicare Supplier standards and ACHC accreditation requirements.
  • Enhances our existing compliance program, helping ensure that we cooperate closely with business managers with the purpose of early identification of compliance risks and to facilitate/align best practices across Coloplast NA
  • Duties and responsibilities related to PI coordination include:
    • Assisting with the overall development and implementation of the PI Plan
    • Assisting in the identification of goals and related client/patient outcomes
    • Coordinating, participating in, and reporting activities and outcomes PI Committee
  • Provides compliance education, training and feedback to NA Coloplast personnel to improve and develop compliance knowledge and efforts
  • Assist in creating an auditing and monitoring plan in collaboration with NA Compliance Leadership
  • Provides ongoing compliance education and training to improve and develop compliance knowledge and efforts.
  • Provides guidance to various stakeholders regarding compliance questions, issues, and/or implementation of compliance controls.
  • Contributes to strategic global compliance projects.
  • Coloplast employees are required to conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards; comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and company policies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business
  • 3+ years’ experience with Medicare, Medicaid and State specific billing requirements
  • Knowledge of governmental payors, medical terminology, regulatory compliance, and billing codes, specifically of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD and CPT/HCPCS coding systems and compliance rules.
  • Ability to work at strategic, tactical and operational levels and execute on decided initiatives.
  • Strong personal integrity and drive.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal and external clients.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and judgment.
  • Solution-oriented and proactive approach that balances commercial goals and business ethics and data privacy risks.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Prior experience working in compliance within the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) healthcare industry

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $110k - $150k. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
