Description

 

As a laser maintenance specialist, you will provide technical support to the European sales teams in the Interventional Urology (IU) department. You will be responsible for the installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance of TFL laser systems, in collaboration with national specialists. You will also contribute to sales activities (demonstrations, trials), which require meticulousness and strong interpersonal skills. This role, within a matrix organization, requires advanced technical expertise, structured communication, the ability to influence without hierarchical authority, and rigorous documentation.

 

1. Installation, maintenance, and technical support

  • Perform installation, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TFL laser systems in Europe.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in accordance with Coloplast IU standards.
  • Conduct commissioning, functional testing, and validation of equipment.
  • Explain system usage, safety, and maintenance to customers.
  • Comply with defined maintenance plans and apply escalation procedures when required.

 

2. Administrative Excellence, Reporting, and Data Management

  • Ensure reliable and comprehensive administrative processing for all service calls.
  • Prepare and submit clear and professional service reports.
  • Systematically record service calls, updates, upgrades, and parts movements in internal systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and traceability to support fleet tracking, quality control, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation and reporting processes.

 

3. Quality, Customer Relations, and Compliance

  • Serve as the primary technical and administrative point of contact for customers.
  • Identify customer needs and coordinate their resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on parts orders and service requests to ensure the safe and compliant operation of systems.
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and safety rules.
  • Ensure full traceability of service calls and parts used.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and compliance with Coloplast guidelines and customer rules.
  • Develop customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction in the assigned area.

 

4. Spare parts management and coordination with external partners

  • Monitor spare parts usage and inventory levels to ensure the availability of essential components.
  • Anticipate parts requirements and report any risk of shortages or impact on service quality.
  • Work closely with our suppliers and internal supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Properly manage the return, shipment, and traceability of replaced or unused parts in accordance with procedures.
  • Serve as an operational liaison between field teams, external partners, and internal teams to optimize service efficiency and logistics performance.

 

5. Internal processes and interaction with the sales organization

  • Share feedback to improve products, documentation, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and promote maintenance contracts.
  • Contribute to Laser Europe’s objectives through effective fleet management and reliable reporting.
  • Identify business opportunities arising from service activities.
  • Serve as a technical resource and provide necessary training.
  • Participate in tests, demonstrations, and events as needed, providing technical support.

 

Your profile

 

  • Training as an electrical technician, electromechanical technician, or biomedical technician, preferably in the medical technology sector.
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required; proficiency in other European languages is a major asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively.
  • Ability to train, support, and work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and adaptability to changing environments.
  • Data analysis skills and the ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Commitment to service and teamwork.
  • Ability to influence others, take on responsibilities, and drive initiatives proactively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
