Financial Controller 

Job summary


The position reports to the Finance Manager Europe of lnterventional Urology and supports commercial and financial activities in European countries.


Along with the Finance Manager, the goal is to build the long-term strategy and financial ambitions and enable Europe Region to achieve it. Specifically, the role is responsible for driving processes and initiatives that drive revenue growth and improve overall profitability of the Europe business. This includes managing the financial planning and analysis processes, investment case development and other ad hoc projects




  • Analyze, prepare and present monthly and quarterly rolling financial forecasts for IU Europe team
  • Engage with business partners within the IU Europe team to partner on delivering financial forecasting and analytics
  • Innovate and develop processes to achieve ongoing effectiveness and efficiency within the finance department
  • Design, develop and present commercial business cases to the senior leadership team
  • Manages and implements strategic EU projects and approved initiatives
  • Analyze, review and distribute monthly financial reports
  • Analyze and interpret financial data for trends and variances and clearly articulate findings and business recommendations to the leadership
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships to support commercial business objectives and targets
  • Perform ad hoc financial business partner projects and analysis as needed
  • Conforms with Coloplast Code of Conduct and all local Compliance Standards
  • Conforms with Coloplast Q/EHS Policy


Job qualifications


  • Bachelor's or MBA degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or similar
  • At least 8 years' experience executing complex analyses, developing and implementing models and reports, and presenting complex topics to audiences across functional areas
  • Experience working in the healthcare or medical device industry
  • Advanced Excel skills as well as Microsoft suite skills – PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Cognos
  • Experience with developing reports and tools in Power BI is preferred
  • Accountable and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team
  • Ability to effectively partner with all levels (Entry level positions to Senior Management) and multiple departments to achieve objectives
  • Ability to effectively dig into the details and think at a strategic level
  • Agile and adaptable to change
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
