IT Specialist 

We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist to ensure customer support in Coloplast Costa Rica Facilities, this will be done in cooperation with Coloplast Corporate IT 

Provide support in all IT related matters to ensure a continuous operation in CMCR Facilities. In addition, the position will coordinate any Global IT Solution provided by Coloplast Global IT and successfully will implement it locally.

 

You will report to Operation and Development Leader, Coloplast Costa Rica Volume Manufacturing site, Cartago.


Key areas of responsibility:

 

  •  Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.) 

  • Check computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality 

  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications 

  • Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance 

  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems 

  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment 

  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work 

  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) 

  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule 

  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders 

  • Installation and configurations of the wire structure.  

  • Manage virtualization systems.  

  • Analyze and monitor the wireless network.  

  • Management of internal servers

  • Security / Pw / users

  • Backups / SSD or HD

  • Access control. 

  • The IT Supporter is responsible for 1st level support, mostly 2nd level support and some 3rd level support

  • Providing professional and timely end-user support using published procedures, standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).  Conducting frequently monitoring of case performance and taking ownership of and follow-through high priority cases

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective action procedures within guidelines and/or escalate to other Global IT resources if/when needed

 

Your qualifications:

 

  • IT Engineer or Technician with advanced studies in IT engineering 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in related positions.
  • High attention to details
  • Knowledge of Cisco, ITIL and Cobit.
  • Organized person with excellent time management.
  • High knowledge of computer systems and networks.
  • Good knowledge of data security systems.
  • CCNA certification is desirable.
  • Oriented to customer service, flexible and comfortable with a fast growing and changing environment.
  • Able to follow internal IT regulations and adherence to procedures and guidelines.
  • Have good communication skills, to be able to interact both locally and externally.
  • English language proficiency - minimum 85% - B2 (desirable - not essential)
  • Availability to work other shifts and overtime to complete work as needed.
  • Willing to be on call to support production needs.
  • You must establish and follow through on behavioral expectations in accordance with Coloplast's values
