Vice President, Technology Assets
As Vice President, Technology Assets, you will shape and mature the technologies that define Coloplast’s future product pipeline within Chronic Care. You will be accountable for transforming scientific insight, emerging technologies, and external innovation into robust, de-risked technology assets, ready for integration into Product Development and ultimately improving life for millions of users.
This role sits at the intersection of exploration and execution and is created to strengthen early innovation and accelerate the flow of viable technologies into the development portfolio
You will ensure that technology development is purposeful, governed, and clearly linked to unmet user needs and business priorities, supporting Coloplast’s ambition of reaching 4 million users.
Your leadership will elevate how we explore, mature, and deploy technology - making it faster, more predictable, and fit for a regulated medtech environment, with quality, safety, and scalability built in from early stages.
The team you’re joining
You are part of the R&D Leadership Team and report directly to the EVP of R&D. You hold end-to-end accountability for technology strategy and technology maturation across Chronic Care.
You lead a multi-disciplinary technology organisation spanning Technology Development, Digital Health Technology, and Biomedical Interface - covering research, engineering, and digital competencies critical to our future pipeline.Together, these areas form the backbone of Coloplast’s future technology pipeline and platform capabilities.
You will work in close partnership with Roadmaps & Scoping, Portfolio Management, Product Development, Pilot Plant, and Centre of Excellence, as well as with external partners, holding clear accountability for technology readiness and hand over from early exploration into Product Development.

Key responsibilities
In practice, you will:
Own and drive the technology strategy
Define and execute a long-term technology roadmap across core and emerging domains, aligned with business strategy, portfolio priorities, and future user needs.
Ensure strong technology incubation and maturation
Establish and own governance, readiness criteria, and ways of working that drive predictable progression and systematic risk reduction from early discovery to development hand over.
Lead and develop the technology organisation
Build a high-performing, customer-centric organisation with clear priorities, strong accountability, and a culture that balances curiosity with disciplined execution.
Strengthen external innovation
Lead technology scouting, partnerships, and alliances, creating a strong external ecosystem that expands access to capabilities, knowledge, and novel technologies.
Own and optimise the IP portfolio
Ensure systematic invention harvesting, robust IP protection, and proactive management of freedom-to-operate and technology risk.
Enable cross-functional collaboration
Work closely with Roadmaps & Scoping, Portfolio Management, Product Development, Pilot Plant, and Centre of Excellence to ensure technologies are effectively matured, transferred, and scaled.
What success looks like
Within the first 12–24 months, you will have:
• Established a clear, shared view of technology readiness and hand over criteria
• Improved speed and predictability of technology maturation
• Strengthened the quality and relevance of the early technology pipeline
• Built a scalable model for external collaboration and IP creation
• Created clarity and trust across interfaces
What you bring
• Extensive experience in R&D, technology development, or innovation leadership within a regulated environment
• Deep understanding of technology maturation, pipeline governance, and risk management
• Proven track record with external partnerships, ecosystems, and/or open innovation
• Strong IP and platform thinking, including freedom-to-operate considerations
• Ability to lead through complexity and influence across functions and senior stakeholders
• Clear, confident communicator with executive presence
