Senior Technical Project Manager for R&D Organisation

Location:

Humlebæk, DK

Job Family:  Research & Development
Country/Region:  Denmark

Where do you see yourself in the future? Does working with new product development and innovation come to mind?

Join us to lead global product development projects from start to finish. This is a unique chance to leave your mark on tomorrow’s medical devices and help improve the lives of people with intimate health care needs. In this important role, you will help bring innovation to the market and get complete project ownership while guiding your project teams to success.

Join our R&D organisation
At our HQ in Humlebæk, you will join the Scouting and Project Management team along with 30 dedicated project managers. As part of R&D, we drive and participate in new product development projects within ostomy, continence, wound & skin care, and bowel management portfolios.

With an increasing number of R&D projects, we need more project managers to set the direction for the product development and manufacturing system work streams – from early concepting to design and specification freeze and in many cases up to one year after product launch.

Set clear priorities with a high impact
You will typically be managing 1-2 projects at a time and lead highly skilled project teams consisting of specialists within mechanical and industrial design, process engineering, materials technology, documentation control, machine commissioning, supply chain, procurement and launch management. Typically, projects can have anything from 5 to 40+ participants. This means that you:

  • Drive execution of the product development and manufacturing system process.
  • Ensure that the agreed KPIs are met, and you will apply best project management practices to lead and steer the team members safely through all stages of the project
  • Ensure the deliveries follow the project execution stage gate model
  • Carry out stakeholder management and ensure effective communication with all the cross-functional business partners to ensure clarity and satisfaction
  • Contribute to the Scouting and Project Management Organisation’s continuous improvement initiatives

Experienced project manager with a technical background
As you will collaborate with stakeholders from Senior Management to Production, it is crucial that you know how to communicate and structure information to get your message across. In addition to your knack for project management, you will also need strong leadership skills to motivate your team to perform at their best.

A successful candidate:

  • Will have 5+ years’ experience with technical project management within an R&D organisation
  • Will have an education within engineering or equivalent with specialty in product development, mechanical or production engineering or similar.
  • Will benefit from experience working with embedded device projects and partners.
  • Will preferably have experience from an NPD environment within the medical device industry
  • Will have excellent networking skills and a proactive approach to collecting knowledge and ensuring personal development
  • Will communicate effortlessly in written and spoken English
