Senior Procurement Professional

Do you want to work in a strategic procurement team, unlocking commercial potential within a challenging indirect spend area?

We are looking for a senior procurement professional to take on the role as either senior sourcing or category manager, working closely with global stakeholders.

“You will get to use your experience to drive sourcing and optimisation projects across geographies, delivering optimal value for the business. Moreover, you will be part of a dynamic and experienced team where knowledge sharing and team spirit is highly valued,” says Frederik Hage, Head of Category Management, Indirect.

Become a part of Corporate Procurement
You will join 30 experienced colleagues in Corporate Procurement at our headquarters in Humlebæk, Denmark, and more than 60 people globally across 8 countries. The organisation is characterised by a professional and informal environment where we are commercially responsible for all external spend and contracts from suppliers to Coloplast.

Setting out to pursue an ambitious digital agenda and improve spend reporting, categorisation, etc., you will join an exciting environment with great opportunities to impact our procurement agenda. Here, you will be a part of a team of 5 skilled category managers within Indirect Procurement, and as a valued partner to the business, your new team is primarily responsible for securing and developing an optimal supplier portfolio within the indirect categories.

Work strategically with indirect procurement
Depending on your experience and skills, you will take on the role of either senior category manager or senior sourcing manager. You will lead and participate in global, regional and local indirect procurement projects as defined in close collaboration with stakeholders.

You will drive the full procurement process and be responsible for sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract management. Further, as a category manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of one or more categories as well as the implementation and execution hereof, potentially by informally leading local procurement resources.

You will join an organisation on an exciting journey, and as our new colleague, you will be able to influence how we strengthen and further build our category management approach.

Specifically, you will:

•    Analyse spend and processes, identifying new sourcing opportunities
•    Drive improvement or change projects within the business
•    Manage global stakeholders, creating engagement around procurement initiatives
•    Drive tenders and take responsibility for translating business requirements and supply market intelligence into supplier contracts

Have you worked within a procurement function with a global reach?

We are looking for a colleague who uses their analytical mindset to challenge the status quo, build relationships across organisational levels and allow us to work even smarter. You are no stranger to strategic thinking, and being process- and results-driven, you are open to understand new contexts, speak your mind and bring ideas to the table. Moreover, we imagine that you:

•    Hold a relevant degree within e.g. law, supply chain or finance
•    Have several years of experience from other procurement functions with a global reach
•    Have solid experience with indirect spend categories such as facilities, IT, professional services, mobility and MRO
•    Have a track record of driving projects across countries
•    Are fluent in English
