Product Design and Engineering, is the creative and scientific powerhouse of R&D our designers, engineers and scientist, co create products and solutions for targeted user segments and various intimate healthcare conditions.
You will become a part of Mechanical Engineering where functional & robust design ensure the quality of mechanical specifications and design documentation.
We use state-of-the-art tools, and processes and aim for best practices in our work. We are the voice of mechanical engineering in the R&D organization and beyond. More specifically you will be working in the Concept & Solution team.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our cross-functional team, contributing to every stage of the development process within our stage gate model. From conceiving early-stage ideas based on input from the organization and or interaction with users and to the handover to our volume production sites. You'll play a role in inventing and implementing cutting-edge technologies. Your role will involve collaboration with experts in Industrial Design, Materials, Simulation, Usability and many other part of our organisation, ensuring a balanced and optimal product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing robust mechanical solutions.
- Systematic concept development and evaluation.
- Identifying functionality based on stakeholder needs and translating functions into specifications.
- Maintaining a high focus on sustainability and optimization of plastic parts.
- Planning, own tasks and effectively executing accordingly.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. with a specialty in Innovation, Mechanical Design, Product Development, or a related field.
- Strong visual and oral communication skills.
- Solid analytical and theoretical capabilities, applied effectively in practice.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks or equivalent.
- Experience in design for injection molding and high-volume production.
- Experience with robust design analysis and tolerance calculations.
- Analytic approach to data-driven decisions, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Strong cross-functional cooperation skills.
